historically this place has had much higher gas prices. the convenience store is below average. with the brand new racetrac in the area no need to come here.

It is a well known fact that I will review pretty much any business. I got my start reviewing gas stations on the belief that a traveler would be more likely to stop at a place with a review over some rando truck stop where they may be murdered. This is a review of an unassuming Chevron Station located between Mandeville and Covington. Three Rivers Chevron is like many other Chevron stations you may come across. The pumps are the same which is to say, opposite of most other pumps. Use caution when pumping as if you pick the button all the way to the left because you may end up with premium instead of the cheap stuff. This isn’t a problem for those of you who drive badass machines that take premium, but for the rest of us, pay attention to the numbers. What sets this station apart is the inside convenience store area. I stopped here on my way out of town and wanted a drink and beef jerky for the drive. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and their coolers and shelves were nearly completely bare. I’m not talking a few things gone, I mean almost everything. It was as if the store had been looted. When I walked in and saw that I turned my head side to side and when I made eye contact with the cashier she just kind of stared at me blankly. I would imagine she gets that look a lot but she offered no explanation. It was very odd. If you’re traveling this way and need gas, but despise food and drinks, stop here.

Overpriced gas! And they do NOT keep their prices advertised on their 20 foot high sign. They haven’t had prices on there since I can remember. Just wanted to throw that out there… as their gas is always quite a bit higher than anyone else’s on Hwy 190. Their customer service skills are amiss. For instance, as I’m taking a friendly picture of their store front, a lady comes out of the store and demands to know what I’m doing… of course, I respond with the olé ‘giving the locals a review on Unilocal’ and she says, does the owner(Skully, or Sully) know about that? I don’t think you need to do that, and storms off. So, over charging for gas is the answer? Sorry. This is not the only time I’ve had less-than-good encounters with them. Another time, they wouldn’t honor a Free Pepsi drink after I got the Winning cap! Yeah, it’s only a couple of bucks, but they said they don’t do those contests and stuff. ???Really I don’t want to use them or patronage their establishment with this kind of service attitude, but they are the only gas station for the locals within a couple of miles… until Racetrac gets finished with their new site, across the street, at Dogpound and Hwy 190.

There are always nice people here. The gas, like most places is over priced, but will make your car go. The«no loitering» sign is a slight disappointment. I guess I have to find something else to do tonight.
