The décor is typical of most Chinese takeout places but the food is not. Tommy the owner is always friendly. The basil chicken could be served in a high end restaurant and has a lot of big fresh vegetables. Couldn’t believe how empty the place was for the quality of food that they serve, must be the location.

They waiter there was kind of rude in the way she greeted us. She just rushed us to our seats. The food was okay… Just okay. I don’t think I’d go there ever again honestly. We just needed something quick in our stomachs.

This place is a little hidden away, but there are some reserved spots behind it. I was here on a Friday evening with friends and we were one of two tables. Food and takeout containers came quickly. Food was… very average. I ordered sweet and sour, hoping for the mall style that you dip. This came all sauced up with some pineapple and onion. Again, not bad, not great. My friend’s broccoli looked good, very green and not cooked to mush like so often restaurants do. At first I thought the prices were a bit high, but the servings are huge! Easily two meals, maybe 3 if you eat light in the summer as I do. Where this lost a star for me was as leftovers. I know I’m in the minority here, but I eat my leftovers cold. This was not good cold. At all.

I walked in Tommy’s Asian Wok after desperately wanting an Asian meal ‘on the cheap’. The exterior was intimidating at first because I could barely tell where this place was. Everything that comes to mind regarding basic has been established in this restaurant. Think regular Chinese restaurant and you’ll be able to paint a picture of how this place will be. It’s nothing fancy, it doesn’t have any frills or spectacular ‘wow’ factors. There’s a giant Asian fan on the wall, that’s never been done before… The food is decent. Like I mentioned before it’s just a regular run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant. I had the Szechuan chicken meal with rice and a veggie roll. The price can’t be beat, but it tasted very bland. The rice was mushy and yellow like all of these places are. It’s edible, however it tastes like one of those microwaveable meals you can pick up at your local grocery store. The service is rushed. Barely any time to enjoy your lunch/dinner or whatever you label your eating routines. There was nobody else eating while I was there so I’m still perplexed about what the whole ‘hurry up’ stigma was all about. Perk — There’s a lucky golden cat sitting by the cash register and a bowl of Asian candies for the taking.

I eat here at least once a week for lunch. The food is always excellent. Haven’t had anything I disliked from Tommy’s kitchen. The restaurant is always very clean and comfortable. Vegetarian options are appreciated(Try the hunan style bean curd)… Tommy and his staff are personable, always greet you on your way in, and thank you on your way out. I could eat there everyday!

I’ve been eating here about 2x/week for lunch for about a month now. I prefer my food spicy, they have Siracha sauce available on the tables for guests. I asked for a cup for my Togo order and she tried to charge me $ 1 for 1 soufflé cup. I don’t think so, it’s not like they don’t recognize me. Rubbed me the wrong way I will find another place for lunch

This location has been home to more Chinese places than I can count. Some were decent, most were awful. The latest comes with a new name and hopefully a fresh start. The food here is pretty decent, not the best I’ve ever had, but so far after 3 visits its proven to be consistent and fresh. Everything is cooked to order and the staff seem pretty good and service is fast.
