Zaxby’s

I have to update my review of this place because more times than not My order is wrong. Two days ago I ordered a kids meal in the drive thru and all we got were fries! No chicken in it. We notice this once we get home and open it.

Service was very friendly, food was on par. Grilled chicken sandwich was very tasty, and had good flavor. Store was clean and very busy.

Terrible quality and care goes into the food. They screwed up my order three times, overcharged me, I found a hair in my food, and the restaurant itself was disgusting.
Never coming here again.

The assistant manager, Venita, just sneezed in her hand and handed me my change. I’m totally grossed out. Had to go in to wash my hands after the long drive thru wait.

It is always messy when you walk it. Not a fan of that!

They ripped off Guthrie’s. But the sauce is still good.

Went on lunch break and waited close to 30 minutes for food. Was out of time. Had to ask for money back and leave. Not only me but other customers were in the same way. They refused to refund me for my drink because I had already received it. Will not go back.

I can think of no reason to ever eat here. The food is mediocre, service is fair, atmosphere is non-​existent. Arby’s has better chicken fingers, and Chic Fil A is head and shoulders above!

I love Zaxby’s salads, any of the chicken. But I especially love the chicken salad sandwich and those fries. Yummy!

So I went to Zaxby’s with my friends for the first time, having been getting tired of Chick-​fil-​A runs. ⁴⁄₅ Win!
I’ll agree with some previous reviews that this place is definitely not very healthy, but if you’re looking for healthy then why think fast food restaurants in the first place? Also in their defense, they do stick a few celery sticks in those wings platters.
Now the specifics… I got the big meal plate thing with BBQ Chicken wings. And maybe it’s just me but they were way too sweet and flavored to taste pleasant. One of my friends got these super hot wings… and they were H.O.T. Phew. But I suppose it all depends on your taste and preference, and the portions are very generous for the price (which is pricier than most fast food chains).
Anyway, my personal dining experience wasn’t as pleasurable as expected but I’ll give it my benefit of doubt — 4 stars as the sampling of my friends’ dishes was much better. Can’t wait to try again with some non-​BBQ chicken wings: D

When I first moved down to Georgia, I will admit that the Zaxby’s sign with the large chicken scared me! I never thought I would step foot in the place. Throughout living there for 2.5 yrs, I did manage to make it in there a few times (or more). After being away for 2 yrs, I was back in the area for a weekend and was craving some Zaxby’s.
I have always liked their Zalads and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich is delicious but terrible for you. Like any other Fast Food places, you will have the healthy and the not so healthy food. I do not care for their chicken strips as I find them dry (even with sauce).
This visit I had the House Zalad with Grilled Chicken and it continued to be just what I remember. I also had a Birthday Cake Shake which was yummy!
I will say that I find their menu a bit on the pricey side for Fast Food.
I will continue to venture to Zaxby’s when I am in the area.

OK, maybe this review is a loose interpretation of what constitutes a five-​star rating, but bear with me.
When I ate meat, Zaxby’s was my one true guilty pleasure, and it pains me to be separated from it for going on four years now. Zaxby’s is a «fast casual» dining environment, offering spicy chicken and other Southern fixings for a reasonable price. If only they offered mock chicken!
I love the scale of hotness they give to the sauces — I can still taste them now. You can go from mild to ridiculously hot here, and I mean so hot you can’t stand it.
When I lived in Georgia and a friend came to visit me, I took her here on the way back to the airport. She liked it so much she was thinking about buying a Zaxby’s t-​shirt.
And there is good news for those of you planning to take a trip down good old Route 95 — Zaxby’s is along the highway in several places in North Carolina. I would suggest mapping out your route around visits to Zaxby’s. That’s what I would do.
I wish some crafty entrepreneur would bring this chain to the District!
