Dr. Renk was fine, but his staff made me feel like a deadbeat. I visited him in December. I had just switched jobs and, although I was automatically covered, my enrollment in my new insurance plan hadn’t been processed yet. I explained that and promised to give my new health insurance information as soon as I had it. In the meantime, I got several nagging phone calls from Renk’s staff asking if I had the information yet. I was dealing with a lot at that time: a new job, neck pain, the holidays, etc., but all Renk’s staff seemed to care about was when they would get their money. It wasn’t up to me: I had to wait for my company and the health insurance company to process my enrollments, delayed by the holidays and the fact that my coverage for both 2015 and 2016 had to be processed. After I finally received and relayed the information, one of Renk’s staff called to tell me that the insurance company said they had no record of me, seeming to suggest that I was either lying or stupid. I confirmed my enrollment with my HR department and called Renk’s office back to tell them I had confirmation and to submit the claim. It’s not like I hadn’t paid them a cent. I gave them $ 20 upfront each time I visited. After the insurance adjustment, I received a bill for about $ 100, so not a colossal sum. The bill came on Saturday, I sent the payment on Monday, and got a call from the office about the bill on Tuesday! Not sure how I could have paid it any faster, unless I dropped it off personally. I really was put off by the aggressive, money-grubbing attitude of the staff, and the implication that I wasn’t to be trusted to pay up! I’ve worked with chiropractors who were much more patient, flexible, compassionate and understanding. For example, Dr. Timothy Schmitt of Wexford worked out a special fee structure with me when the insurance I had at that time charged an exorbitant co-pay. Schmitt’s office is in a location that’s no longer convenient for me, but I’d rather go out of my way than go back to an office where I was treated with suspicion and doubt.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Pittsburgh, PA
Three cheers for Dr. Renk and his 24 hour chiropractic service! One of my family members hurt her back pretty badly earlier this week, and Dr. Renk not only answered the phone at 5am when I called in a panic, but he was also personable, helpful, knew exactly what was wrong with her, and was happy to meet us at his office immediately to help. Not only that, he doesn’t charge outlandish emergency appointment fees.(The other supposedly 24 hour chiropractor in Pittsburgh didn’t call me back until 9am.) I was so grateful for Dr. Renk and the help he gave us. He gets all five stars from me! Note that the address listed for this business by Unilocal is incorrect. It should be 9001 Marshall Rd.
