Getgo From Giant Eagle

A gas station which many favor because of their GE «rewards.» But it is just another of the many gas stations along this route. Nothing stands out as interesting or unique. I NEVER go into these small «convenience» stores. Too small, too cramped, prices not at all competitive with a food store (though in fairness the differences are mere pennies).

Personally I do not like this location. As a whole I do like Getgo. However this station is very small and cramped. It’s hard to navigate and I’m just waiting for an accident to happen someday. While they do offer free air for your tires, their car wash definitely lacks compared to other drive-​through car wash. Even in comparison to the other get-​go carwashes. This one is not fully automated so you actually have to drive through instead of putting it into neutral and letting the rollers take you through. There is a little sign saying stop and go to tell you how long to wait in between cycles but because of the spray from the washers you can’t really see it. No matter how long I wait at the drying stage I never seem to be able to get my car completely dry when I leave, especially if there’s another car behind me. In addition this particular Getgo does not have a store; there is merely a booth in the middle of the lot and there is a man inside who can take your money if you choose to pay with cash or if you’d like to purchase small items like gum and cigarettes. Personally I like being able to walk into the store so that way if I only need to pick up something like a gallon of milk or something simple such as that I’m able to. That is not an option at this location.

If you don’t know what Getgo is you must live under a rock. If you are the select individual that does live under a rock… then read on.
Getgo is a gas station that is owned by Giant Eagle (grocery store). Every time you go to the grocery store and spend 50 dollars, you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas. If you purchase gift cards at the grocery store as well during promotional times (back to school and Christmas) you then get 20 cents off of a gallon. Of course if you do not shop at Giant Eagle there is no special savings so to all other people this is just a regular gas station.
There are about 14 pumps and this place is always busy. At the pump you have the option to pay and select other services like a car wash, windshield washer fluid, as well as oil or a bag of salt. If you pay with cash you go to the little booth and pay the man. There is no place to shop at this place it only has the small booth to get pop, smokes, and random chips. I find this to make this Getgo great because for us cash paying customers you do not have to wait in line to pay as some person is trying to purchase Doritos and smokes on their welfare access card like you would with the full shopping experience Getgo locations.
