I had(2nd?) metatarsal pain & minor inflammation. Had been going to a podiatrist, who had me stretching, using ointment, tape and never suggested better orthotics. Frankly, I don’t think they were very good. Went to the Good Feet Store in Cranberry. I did the walking impression test. I was hesitant to go for the $ 350 plastic orthotic they recommended. I guess you are paying for the testing & expertise, certainly not a ¾ length made-in-the-US piece of rubber. I followed their instructions and my pain disappeared in a couple weeks! This orthotic included a bump to ease the pressure on my metatarsal. I had the pain for over a year. What initially felt like a golf ball in my shoes now feels so natural. So, in short, $ 350 is a small price to pay compared to what I had been spending at the podiatrist office. Refunds policy kinda make sense. If it fixes your issue, some might be tempted to return the item for a refund.

This is a great store to buy orthotics but I do not recommend buying any shoes from them. First off I don’t respect any business that has a «no return«policy and does not tell the customer about it. I asked if having the orthodic in my shoe would affect my shoe size, would I have to go up a half size. I was told it wouldn’t, not true. I called to have a conversation about the situation and was told«we don’t do returns, I didn’t serve you so call back tomorrow and speak to the person who did» Not my version of good customers service.
