Update: the shop employee who gives unsatisfying results seems to be gone or not there often. The rest of the staff is amazing and I record my previous review and recommend this place for all your comic needs

The customer service and knowledge of their product is a complete joke. I asked how many issues were in a hardcover edition of a book. The response I got was, «google it». They’re not very friendly and barely talk to you when you walk in, which is the complete opposite of the comic community. I’ve never walked into a store and not be able to BS with the owner or employee about something comic related. They do have a lot of stuff though, but the prices are some things are ridiculous. Take your money elsewhere for a better comic experience.

Buried in one of the many shopping centers and strip malls in Cranberry is yet another satellite of a terrific local comics shop chain. Luckily I date a chick who likes animé, so she came willingly and wasn’t bored. This store is GORGEOUS! Y’know how chicks ooh and aah when they’re looking at jewelry? That was me yesterday afternoon, especially when I got a gander at their glass case full of Silver and Golden Age rarities. This New Dimension Comics, like the one in Century III Mall, is well stocked, organized, clean, bright, and staffed by knowledgeable, friendly people with normal social skills. Their wall of graphic novels, hardcovers, and trades is magnificent to behold. Then you come across action figures. Then the new comics. Then the back issues. Then the sets! SETS! Sets of the Jack Kirby Machine Man series, complete I might add! And the Marvel John Carter: Warlord of Mars comic! I could camp out here overnight. I almost snagged the Wednesday Comics hardcover, but it was $ 50, so I passed. However, I did walk out with about $ 40 worth of recent issues. And I thought I was getting burned out on the funny books. And yes I kvetched with the clerk and his friend on DC’s need for two Batmen(it’s migraine-inducing, trust me non-comics folk), and the new Captain America, and the perpetual crossovers, and reboots, and… This is what happens… when fanboys collide! Or team-up! Phantom of the Attic has New Dimension nipping at their winged heels…
