Teknic Colour

So… the hairdressers are really sweet, but I was infuriated. I decided to treat myself to a cut and color and thought that while visiting family in the area, it would be more reasonable than the city prices. I called for a quote, described what I had and what I wanted. The cut was good, but the color didn’t come out. I was upset and just ready to leave –didn’t even want it blow dried. I was so upset that they offered to fix it. Fixing it meant additional $ I wasn’t told about. I get to the counter and the owner or manager says that the extra charge is for the toner… and that I wasn’t charged for the other services…(the first run through of color that didn’t quite work?, the blow dry I didn’t want and said so? My longer hair?). I wish they’d been more honest about it… i wouldn’t feel so scammed. Oh yeah — they cannot process tips on credit card… so in addition to the extra time and money I spent there, I have to go back and pay a tip. Lessons learned — get an exact quote before they do anything, them ‘fixing’ things = extra $$$, and since they aren’t much cheaper than the city, just go to the city. In a gist… I Do NOT recommend this place.
