Driving north on the interstate and stopped in Cranbury for lunch. This town is ridiculously cute, out of a postcard. Since I have yet to find great pizza in Maryland, I knew i wanted some authentic NJ style pizza. I think I definitely found it. Pizza is available by the slice, I tried a simple margarita pizza. It was SOGOOD. The crust was perfect, crispy but not so hard that my gums would be bleeding after. The sauce was perfection, the true sign of amazing NY/NJ pizza. The service was excellent, the pizza was served to us in our booth. I wish I could’ve tried the other pizza options, definitely try this place for the ambience of an authentic small town pizza place and for the food.

Real pizza. Real Italians. Real deal, period. Love this place – popped in while visiting my Parents who live near by, and what an amazing little joint. I had been craving a real NY style slice for a number of years, and this place delivered. The staff were awesome, and the food perfect. Strongly endorse.

Excellent big New York style slices, plus awesome, friendly staff. I had a perfect, plain old cheese slice and was in heaven. I can’t wait to return here on my next trip to Jersey.

Great thin crust pizza, fun rice balls and all of the parm sandwiches are delicious. Their salads were surprisingly excellent — simple, generous, tasty and fresh.

One of the best pizzas I ever had. Their margarita pizza was phenomenal. Great food. Great prices. In a great little town.

This place had good tasting pizza but I was not a fan of the very hard cardboard-like crust under the pizza. Some people are a fan of that but I am not. It was also quite expensive for the pizza size so we just got a Margarita. It wasn’t a bad choice but it also wasn’t anything special.

This place is great! It’s a chilly, balmy day and this pizza hits the spot. This is a welcoming little place in a town where you wouldn’t mind everyone knowing your name. You can tell that this pizzeria has a valuable place in this community. The service was above what I want expected, and the pizza itself is worthy of its own few sentences. The dough was excellent; crispy and thin, yet the crust was soft on the inside and it wasn’t oily. I had the Buffalo chicken slice and the margarita slice, and my wife had a Sicilian and a plain slice. Cranbury pizza will definitely receive my business again, and I hope it receives yours as well! #iwantmorepizza #whatdiet

Their«Brick oven pizza,» known elsewhere as margarita pizza, is the best around, might be the best in NJ. Other pizza selections are average. Owner exaggerates his half-fake Italian accent which is mildly annoying. But get the brick oven pizza(as they call it) and be prepared for heaven!

My wife and I stopped here last Saturday when we took a country drive to Cranbury to take a walk. One of your more beautiful central New Jersey towns. Having been here before on bike rides we knew Cranbury pizza had a good reputation. we ordered a slice of their margarita pizza and a soda and took one of the giant rice balls home. The pizza was very good. Service was friendly and excellent. everyone In N Out was friendly… small town atmosphere. They have a beautiful front porch with a giant retractable awning for dining. Had the giant rice ball for dinner last night with pasta and tomato gravy and it was excellent one of the better ones I have ever had. We will be back…

Cranbury is one of those rare old Central Jersey towns that has done a good job retaining its 19th Century charm. Main Street looks much like it did in 1914, if not a hundred years earlier. Cranbury Pizza, occupying a small corner shop in the center of town contributes to that sense of history. For all the times I have been in Cranbury, this was my first visit to CP. On this warm Spring day the tables were set up on the sidewalk, and people were enjoying their repast with pleasant conversation. It was almost a movie set appearance, it was so perfect. I walked inside and immediately heard boisterous chatter from the kitchen, as the staff seemed to be having fun with each other. They interacted with each customer in a warm personal manner as if they liked their work. A good sign. I ordered two regular slices and sat down at a small table at the front window to watch the pizza kitchen do its thing. I saw there was also a back kitchen behind the ovens where the none-pizza dishes were put together. I counted at least 6 people in white. Surprising for the diminutive size of the parlor. The slices came to the table with heat waves rising. A sprinkle of pepper flakes and I was in business. The first surprise arrived with picking up the slice. It held its shape without even a slight bow, its tip in firm salute. There was a slight glistening of oil, but not enough to drip. The first bite confirmed that this crust was not just crisp, but cracker firm. It felt so good to bite through and hear/feel the confirming crunch. Loved it! The sauce was mildly sweet and the cheese softly complementary. This was a tomato pie that was as pleasurable to chew as it was to taste. Maybe I was experiencing beginners luck and just stumbled on a great pie. But, I saw it waiting its turn on the pizza rack, and it was pulled and cut just for me. Maybe it was the magic of a late Friday afternoon in May. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed these guys and whispered a short grace to the pizza fairy for granting me this moment.

When I first saw this quaint little pizza parlor I immediately wanted to try some of there food. I was so glad I did, from sicilian pizza, margarita pizza, to even brick oven backed pizza there are endless choices of delicious pizza. After coming there for a couple times the work staff and I began to become friendly with each other and began to know the work staff by name. Great Restaurant all in all absolutely love it

Cranbury Pizza is a place that I frequented a bit during my time as an intern this summer. The town of Cranbury is quite small and there are few options to eat in the little village itself(though the surrounding areas offer many choices). Upon walking in this little pizza place, you immediately get a very close connection between the staff and the customers. The cashier was greeting a girls ballet class that must frequent the spot, knowing them by name as if it was a daily routine. He was very friendly and reminded me of a classic, talkative Italian. Despite not expecting the food to be all that good, it surprises for the better. The pizza features a good blend of cheese and sauce with a crust that lets you know you are eating a Jersey-style slice. While featuring a small amount of grease, it is not too much to repulse, but instead add to the flavor. In addition to my slice, I got a half turkey hoagie which was beyond enough food. The sandwich required a wide stretch of the mouth, but the bread combined with the turkey, lettuce, onions, and oil & vinegar was just right for the classic favorite. Cranbury Pizza does not do much to give a special spin on a pizza or hoagie, but that is just fine. These are two items that do not require much differentiation in order to deliver a satisfying meal. Pizza: 7 Turkey Hoagie: 7

Well done on the pizza for a small town pizzeria. I have only had plain slices at this location but they offer a large and varied menu. Service is very friendly and quick.

First off, I’m a huge pizza snob. Very picky about my pizza. Went here on a Saturday with my gf for lunch. «I always wanted to stop in and give it a try» Normally I’m a Maninnos pizza regular in Hightstown. Anyway, we loved he pizza. I got a slice of margarita and the gf got a piece of sicilian. They claim the cheese is homemade, I don’t doubt it for a second. Cheese was great! Everything was great, an order of calamari to split between us… portion was huge. Marinara was awesome! And we got two rice balls to go… really good, so if your in cranberry and have a craving for good pizza or Italian… give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. I’m not going to comment on the seating as it has nothing to do with the quality of food or service. Both of Which are exceptional. I don’t understand the bad reviews. Word of advice. Never let one bad experience stop you from giving the place a second or even third chance. You could miss out on something great. Besides, nobody’s perfect all the time.
