Dairy Queen of Crandall

The service was very friendly. The food was a little more expensive than expected. There were some flies in there but I don’t think that can be helped since the doors are open often. The chili cheese fries were great. The double cheeseburger was ok. Overall it was not bad, just a little pricey.

When you are hungry, better than a sharp stick in the eye… But not by much. Staff is friendly but they need a new cook.

Me, my daughter and two grandchildren were there yesterday after school. Ruined a perfectly good day. The girl taking orders at the counter acted like we were imposing upon her and when I asked her if she was having a bad day, she just stared at me, then I jokingly said she should smile and she just continued to stare at me. She didn’t thank us for our order, or invite us back or anything. Bad employees can ruin a business and this particular DQ has a lot of senior citizens who go there. Seniors, just like everyone wants to be made to feel welcomed and appreciated for their business. The young man who delivered our food to our table was polite and courteous. Too bad he was not the first person we encountered. When choosing where I want to go to spend my money, I choose the place that makes me feel good. Sorry DQ, it’s not at this location! Plus when not busy, they should be cleaning the dirty tables around us instead of talking on their cell phones. The french fries were hot… and the coney was good. The only pluses of the visit.

If I could give it less, I would. Granted the 99 cent drink specials in the afternoon are great (competing with Sonic) but the lack of cleanliness, stale smell and food poisoning I received, heavily outweigh the savings. I’m still a fan of the occasional Dilly Bar or Blizzard but food is not their specialty by any means.
