Juliette is awesome! My first visit, I came in trying out a new haircut for the first time, and she was patient enough for me to walk her through it. I go to her every time now. A little pricier than the other barber shops I’ve experienced, but definitely worth it. They offer extra complimentary services, such as hair washing, and lotion hand massages with a warm towel placed upon your face. I recommend giving this place a try!

Went for the first time today and was impressed with the service, the ambience, and ultimately the skill.
Juliet did an amazing job, listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions a did a great job.
Will be going here again.

Worst haircut I’ve ever had. The lady in the back right was my barber. Did not listen to a word I said. Asked for a low fade. Instead she tried to give me one of these faddish David Beckham style haircuts. She also shaved my side burns to high. Way over priced for the hair cut received. She needs to learn how to listen to customers. I should’ve charged her for the disservice she did to my hair. If you see a guy around town and wonder Wow that’s a messed up haircut… that’s me. Biggest waste of 25 dollars.

Always happy with the outcome of my haircut. I have been coming here for about a year now and despite getting a haircut from a different person almost every time the quality of the final product is always very good. The price is fair for the service you get so I would recommended it to others who are in the area.

I’ve been going to Cory Mathews since their days in Roselle. Having moved out of the area I’ve been searching for a reasonably priced, quality haircut like I get at Cory’s and am yet to find one better. The staff is helpful, entertaining, and talented which makes for a great experience. I am extremely pleased with my cut every time I leave, and the hot towel/​hand massage at the end of every cut is a nice touch. I drive 45 minutes here whenever I need a quality haircut. Can’t beat the price too. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll run into one of the several Jets players who frequent the shop. Highly recommended.

BEST BARBER SHOP HANDS DOWN! I’ve had my hair cut from tons of barbers all over Northern NJ and NY and Juliet is by far the best barber I’ve ever had. She has great attention to detail and takes extreme pride in what she does. Ever since I’ve been coming here I’ve received tons of compliments from friends and family. Along with her great skill, she offers useful tips on ways to manage and improve your style. The overall experience of the barbershop is also a huge plus. They rarely make you wait for your appointment… not that you would mind since you have 4 TVs and stacks of magazines to keep you entertained.
Although the price may seem higher compared to other shops it’s still worth it since the quality and customer service far surpasses any other place I’ve been to.

I’ve lived in this area for the past 5 years and haven’t been able to find a consistent and reliable haircut. And then I found this place. Make an appointment with Juliet and you will see what I mean. She is always thorough, detailed and on point. You will not regret it!

Been looking for a good barbershop since moving from nyc. Saw this place on Unilocal with good reviews, so I figured Id give it a try. I’ve never been so botched up in my life. I had a hair cut and shave. Alli needed was a simple part. It came out uneven and poorly trimmed around the ears. The shave was even worse. It looks like I’ve been attacked by a raccoon. I found Cory Matthews when I went to the Cranford movie theater for the first time & spotted a haircut place across the street. I had been looking for somewhere cool to get a haircut & Cory’s seemed like it might be it. I tried it the next time I needed a haircut and even though it’s a 25 minute drive from where I live, I’ve been going there ever since. Juliette gives me a great haircut every time; I don’t have to pay much attention because I know she always gets it right. The atmosphere is fun too. All of the staff is friendly and Cory makes sure that every customer gets the attention he needs.

I’ve been coming to Cory Mathews for two years and haven’t looked back. As a result of the friendly atmosphere, I have never been more comfortable going to a barbershop or stylist. The haircuts at Cory Mathews are consistently on point, the staff is extremely welcoming and they always honor appointments; they even stay open until 8pm, which I find to be a rare luxury in this industry. I used to dread going to other barbershops because they were so hit or miss. The bottom line is that the stylists are professionals and have given me an excellent haircut at a fair price every time I’ve walked through the door.

I will never go back. Stopped in on a Tuesday night at 5:30 to get my son a haircut. Place was empty and open until 8pm but still unwilling to take a customer. Very awkward and uninviting environment. I definitely don’t recommend going. Too many places in the area to waste the time or money. Last I knew they are in a service industry, not the way to present yourself to a new customer. Oh well!

Finally! I’ve lived in Jersey for like 16 or 17 months and was unable to find a quality non-​NYC barber who really pays attention to detail. All of the positive reviews of this business are true. I’ll be a repeat customer going forward, for sure.

Been to this place twice now, had Juliet cut my hair both times. very well cut and thorough with the scissors and buzzer. Straight razor around all the edges to make them sharp and cleaned up the neckline and beard with the straight razor as well. A hot towel wrap around the face and a hand massage.
I make sure to wash my hair and not put any product in it before going in, and end with the wash so im not walking around shedding hair clippings for the rest of the day.
Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and will continue to return. Call in advance as they tend to be busy during rush hour.

This place is definitely a guy’s place. I have been looking for a place like this for a long time. I managed to find it in my home town. Cory cuts my hair exactly how I want it, and there’s great luxurious details to the cut as well, such as straight razor edges with hot shaving cream, hot face towel, and a hand massage from a pretty gal. The whole atmosphere is so cool that I don’t mind waiting if they’re running behind. And that brings me to the last point, you can make an appointment!!! Not many (good) barber’s around here will let you do that. This is your new hair cutter.

I was referred to this place by a friend and I was not disappointed. A smaller place, it feels appropriately sized for what it was meant for: cutting men’s hair.
Cory can cut hair well. All the rest are frills, really, but good frills. I enjoy the hair wash, hand massage, and hot towel.

They did a great job with my boyfriend’s hair. He looked like a Paul Mitchell ad when he left. The guy was totally cool with me being «that girlfriend» who tells the barber how to cut her man’s hair.

This place does a great job with my boyfriend’s hair. From what I’ve observed, they take direction very well. I’ve seen them do traditional haircuts and unconventional ones with the same success. My boyfriend enjoys the quick hand massages they give toward the end of the cut. He’ll be back again.

Been getting my hair cut here for the past six months. Cory and Michelle are great. The shop is always clean and you’re never rushed. Staff is professional but always friendly. I get a shampoo, cut, shave, and hand massage for 20 bucks. Can’t be beat. As long as they’ll cut my hair, I’ll keep coming back for more. Try to call in advance, even if last minute, they’ll schedule you in.
