Went to walk in to the restaurant and the waitress(short pixie blond hair) literally stomped her foot stared at the door while rolling her eyes mouthing«what the fuck are you kidding me»… So my husband and I turned around and walked out and went around he corner to Avenue East. It’s a shame because we just moved to NEW Jersey so that was quite the welcome.

The food was really good, fresh, and the ingredients were much better quality than your typical diner or small family restaurant. Everyone working there was friendly, attentive, and kind. It was a really comfortable, clean place. Definitely recommend it & will return.

Visited this morning for breakfast. Although it’s changed owners, the menu’s and tables still say Cranford Family Restaurant and Cranford Diner. Much of the staff is still there. I had the Patriotic Pancakes with a side of Turkey Sausage. The portions were very generous and the sausage consisted of 4 links. Basic diner. Service was very good and the coffee was fine. The place is clean and updated. Would I go back? Absolutely. Maybe they can be different and start having a breakfast buffet.

Have stopped in a couple of times lately and have found the service and food to be on par with any good diner.

A nice place great food cheep prices, it did change owner, s and the cooks the waitress are still thier. The only difference is that you have to pay for stuff that you want extra, before no boss and they where given free stuff, now they charge, but it’s great, and beats the other diners any day with prices. And quality.

I LOVED this Cranford diner! I’d go for breakfast all the time! But this place must’ve changed owners, and now name. This is the third time I’ve come since the changes and it will be my last. Today was the last chance and the last straw for me. None of the lovely waitresses we’ve had before are there. We used to get our coffee in these fun, different mugs from places or holidays– I event donated mugs! And the cooks must be different too because the food was displayed horribly and didn’t taste as good as it usually does. You will get charged for EVERYTHING and they’ll charge you $ 9 for an egg omelette sloppily placed on a plate with a piece of someone else’s fried egg underneath. I even had to ask for toast as if it didn’t say it came with my food. Sadly, and disappointedly, my go-to neighborhood breakfast spot is now just a memory. RIP Cranford Family Restaurant– you were a gem.
