Typical«what am I really eating» Chinese take-out joint. It’s not terrible, its not great. You can’t look at a menu online, so you need to either guess-order or head over to get a menu. Conveniently located near Commerce Drive in Cranford, so it’s seconds from the Mack-Cali office wasteland. I’m sure I’m not the only person to say«I don’t care if it’s crap, it’s right here and I’m hungry/busy» Parking out front on Raritan Rd sucks. You can pull right in, but it’s tough backing out into traffic. There’s a small lot out back that I use. Two table inside, so it’s a take-out place for sure. Lunch special is priced right, everything $ 5 and change. I went with the General’s Chicken, it was like every other Chinese takeout — meh. I chose an eggroll instead of a soup, and they didn’t give me one. Lady inside was taking order, ringing up customers, and helping in the kitchen. Nice lady. Let take credit cards. If you’re one of those people who see a crazy kitchen and get creeped out, Hop Hing is not for you. I’m sure it looks a lot dirtier than it actually is, but it looks dirty. I’ll order again, just because it’s convenient. Lun Wah is better, Avenue East is better, but neither are 17 seconds from the office for less than $ 6.

Love Hop Hing, We’ve been having this food delivered for years to our front door. They are always friendly, always fast. And I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The chicken with pea pods is my fav. The food is always freshly made. Would recommend Hop Hing to anyone.

Best Chinese place in the area. I’ve been coming here for years and have no complains. Every time I have Chinese somewhere else i compare it on a scale of much worse it is than hop hing. Of course this isn’t the most feel good healthy food, but twice a month or so why not.

Good neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Two small tables for eating in. Mostly take out. Nice people.
