Tucked into a dark little strip mall on Phenix Avenue, I tried this place to prep for a holiday party. What’s not to love about a little sunshine on the skin — even if it is fake? I bought a Groupon for two tans. Otherwise, I would have gone for the spray tan booth or the DIY self-tan experience. But — at $ 29 for two sessions of «personalized attention» I figured I’d give it a whirl. Mind you. I am not a shy gal. I came equipped with a bandeau bra and equally skimpy skivvies ready to tan all over. A once-over from Cheryl gave me the impression that I should for the full monte… I practiced restraint and kept the bottoms on, but let the top run free. This session was not a spa experience, but the results were excellent. It was super chilly in the partitioned room. Kept up the idle chit-chat as best I could based on the circumstances(«just lift your leg…»). Got some thorough instructions on the way out. Mild chiding for not wearing flip-flops. WEARFLIPFLOPS! I was super afraid the night of the treatment. Ooompa looompa fear. But — the next morning, after washing, I was pleased with the results. A natural amber color that lasted in strong showing for at least three days. Good stuff.
