This place was so good I can’t believe it closed!!! One of my favorite restaurants in RI and by far the best Dominican food I ever had!!! :(

I finally had the yucca fries that I was yearning for. Well worth the wait. The Churrasco had a delicious chimichurri sauce which made the meat even tastier. Yum!

Found Blend by chance, looking for a new dining experience near Garden City. What a wonderful find! The food is absolutely delicious. Very unique favors. Authentic Latin American food expertly crafted by a very talented chef. The service was quite good. It felt like we were being hosted by a wonderful family. The place is cozy but we’ll decorated. The vibe is great. This is a BYOB, so review the menu online before you go so you can pair your dinner with a good wine.

We had brunch here on Sunday for the first time. Love the BYOB! We brought 2 bottles of champagne and ordered a carafe of OJ. Here is a list of the dishes we tried… Cuban sandwich Dominican eggs Benedict Crab cake eggs Benedict Tostones w/ceviche Blueberry French toast Chicken & waffles Tres leches Dominican chocolate flan Every single dish was perfection. The food here is just spectacular. Highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back for dinner. The server was equally as good. Well informed and really sold us on the specials.

I am always back and forth on Reservoir Ave and never thought to stop at this place. From the outside it looks like just a tiny little café. I was taken for a very lovely surprise! The set up inside is pretty cool. There is an upstairs. Anyway, about the food — I had«DR All Day»(the Dominican breakfast basics) and my best friend had the«Chicken & Waffles». They were both awesome!!! Good prices, great service, and great food. I was also surprised to discover that it was Dominican influenced which is great because there aren’t many Dominican sit-down restaurants in RI. I love their food and their people! But even if you don’t care for any of that, you’ll find something on the menu to please you. I’m going back this weekend! :)

I had the chicken and waffles and a little of the Eggs Benedict, it was banging and the presentation was good too. The waitress was very nice also and attentive. I can’t give it a 5 stars simply for the fact I hate tap water.

Having traveled to the caribbean and central American areas I know how proud the locals are of their heritage and traditional foods. It is the same for the Blend Café. Heidi and Giana both explained the full menu with clarity and pride. We ordered one suggested and one we knew from our travels Both the short ribs with yucca mash and a terrific Dominican/Cuban sandwich was great. Plenty of food. Took some home. And being a byob is nice. Will be back for dinner soon.

This cozy BYOB café is an ethnic latino experience! There are seven tables in intimate proximity. The bachata music definitely added to the ambience. The service was very efficient and she made great entrée suggestions. The crab cake and calamari combination was a perfect starter. The crab cakes were succulent and stuffed with meat. The aioli was a perfect balance of tasty and creamy. The Mofongo was a well smashed blend of. The shrimp and white wine sauce pairing was delicious. The plate was dressed with fresh salad topped with a cilantro lime dressing. The Sweet Chili Snapper special of the day was tender and moist. The house-blend seasoning was unique and savory. The mashed yucca accompanied the fish well. The asparagus was tender. The meal was made complete with the Tres Leche. To be honest. It’s a must try! The cake was dense and packed with a nutty cinnamon blend. The topping was a silky custard sauce. This place is a definitely gem! We will be back to try some more of the authentic menu.

Great Brunch! Ceviche and Tostones! Best Hollandaise Sauce I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients and thoughtful Latin Fusion foods. Super friendly service. Will be back for more.

Great pulled pork sandwich and sliders. The place is small, about 6 tables to fit about 20 people so call ahead. Great décor and very clean. Only one waitress but service was still great. Apps were a little pricey considering the quantity. I will definitely go again. The Chef/Owner seems like a great guy.

This is a very welcoming little place with warm, friendly service… like the tiny stereotypical NYC family operated red and white checked table cloth Italian restaurants of ½ century ago. Here brown paper has replaced the checked table cloths and the menu is Dominican Republic influenced. Chicken, pork, and fish are prominent, as are plantains and yucca. Everything is fresh, and the flavored are delicious. Nothing is boring. We had a lot of drinks and two really delicious deserts(a flan and their version of pound cake) and got a check of about $ 95/couple. A five star value.

Hands down one of the best places I’ve had the chance to try anywhere let alone in RI. We had the pork tostones, pastelitos, mofongo special, and the ultimate cuban. Drank the passion fruit mimosa specials and had pumpkin tres leche cake. I was stuffed by the end. Their plating was beautiful and the food was hot and flavorful. I wish I had pictures but they wouldn’t do the dishes justice anyway, you need to get in this place and try it for yourself. Brenda was our server and she was awesome. The place is clearly run with love, laughter, and good music. They’ll definitely be seeing me again!

I was recommended to try this place out by a friend. Overall I rate it a 4⁄5 and here’s why: Pros: décor is modern and chic, the ambience and the music, the selections for lunch(very flavorful and appealing), the ACTUAL food was AMAZING!(there were 4 of us at the table and we dabbed in all four entrees) Cons, but forgivable: the wait staff, she didn’t know much of the items on the menu, or how they were made, and wasn’t very attentive. We did go there for lunch, so it picked up and became busy, but I didn’t get a follow up if I wanted a refill on my beverage. Perhaps have a second/backup waitress during peak hours. Overall, the con will not stop me from returning, at the end of the day I go for the food. With customer service experience, I expect and assume the waitress/es will polish up.

Cozy place with a really cute loft dining area. I’ve been 4 times and each experience was slightly worse than the last, service-wise. While the food is great, it takes forever and portions are on the small side, considering the prices. Their major allure was being a non-Asian food BYOB place but now they are not BYOB anymore. I went today for brunch and was given a menu with some amazing sounding options, then sat for 20 minutes with no further service or so much as a glass of water before getting up and walking out. Unacceptable at any time but particularly insulting when there were only 3 other tables occupied. I will not be patronizing Blend Café again. If they continue as they are, no one else will either. Edit: After my less than stellar review, the owner of Blend reached out to me to apologize for my shitty experience and ask for the opportunity to make up for it. A friend and I returned to Blend for brunch, courtesy of the owner. I decided beforehand I wouldn’t identify myself until the end of the meal, both to get their actual service and to eliminate the chance my food would be fucked with out of spite lol. We were seated immediately but with nearly all tables full, it was the busiest i’d seen it so I was anticipating a really long wait. A little girl brought us water, which was cute, and 5 mins later we received menus. It was about 15 mins before the only waitress came back for our order and about 20 more for our food — the shortest wait times I’ve had at Blend. I got the Dominican Eggs Benedict and they were phenomenal. My friend got an omelet and home fries, which he raved about. All in all, if all my Blend experiences were like the most recent, I would love the place. It’s not somewhere you go for a quick bite. Wait times are slightly longer than other places, though that’s to be expected with such a tiny kitchen, but the amazing food is worth the extra minutes. This experience doesn’t negate the bad ones but it certainly goes a ways toward making up for them.

Took myself to this sweet little gem for some midweek brunch and I’m so glad I did. Small, cozy and very welcoming room. Comfortable and attentive service. I had the house Benedict and a red sangria and everything was delicious! The kitchen sent out hot chocolate samples while I was there, too, and it was super yummy. I’ll be back for sure!

Call me bias, but this place is the it place if you want Spanish food with a twist on freshness. If you are tired of those lame pick n go Spanish places in broad st this is the place to come. Their Brunch menu is delicious and staff is cool, the Chef is a hardworking man who lives to please his clientele with awesome food. I would recommend to anyone.

I was born and raised in Cranston so i’m so excited this place is new to us. The food is amazing! I was greeted by Lexi and she was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the DR breakfast and was blown away… I can wait to go back and try something new. the place is very small but it’s a cozy feeling of going over to your friend’s house. I wouldn’t change anything

The place in itself is not in a great location that would invite you in… Once you get inside its better… No real parking dedicated for this restaurant either. We have been there three times in total, and two out of those three times, they have not had what we wanted… The three times that we’ve gone, we have waited about 10 before ordering drinks. and then about 35 minutes to receive our actual food. Dont get me wrong, the food was amazing, price was a little more than I would have liked, but the service is the real killer. It was like we were inconveniencing them with our business, asking for utensils or ketchup… Obviously i’ve returned hoping for better experiences, but each time its gotten a little worse. Not worth the 4th trip.

This place has been open for 4 months and is cute inside. They are a farm to table restaurant with Latin American cuisine. The waiter suggested the Cuban and although I don’t like mustard he suggested to just leave it. I am thrilled I listened to him, it was absolutely delicious! We also got the breakfast chicken sandwich that had egg, ham, fried chicken, and some other great condiments on ciabatta bread. This sandwich was just as amazing. The only disappointment was the home fries and the yucca fries, they tasted like basic potatoes with little seasoning. Brunch was being served when we arrived at 1:30, overall the food was amazing. Will definitely return and they are on for $ 10 gift card. I hope this place stays around bc the location is not very visible
