Conti Service

Great service! John was so helpful. I was visiting Rhode Island and had been told I had an issue with a wheel bearing. Another shop told me it wasn’t a problem, so then I went to Conti’s. John answered the phone and test drove my car with me. He said there was a problem, and it should be fixed before I left. He also explained that he was booked for the next few days and that I should probably find a different shop since I needed it done right away. Even though he didn’t charge me anything, he still took the time to explain everything for me. If I had been there longer, I definitely would have waited to have the wheel bearing replaced with Conti’s. Thanks, John!

I’ve been here too many times in the past month.
Once, I went because I wanted a second opinion on a repair recommended by another shop. They looked at issue, explained to me what was wrong and told me that the repair was not a priority. They could have told me the repair needed to happen soon and made several hundreds dollars, but they did not. They are honest and did not talk down to me, even though I will readily admit that my car knowledge is limited and mostly comes from listening to car talk.
My check engine light came on a few weeks ago on my way to work and I panicked and literally high tailed it here in tears thinking the worst. I showed up at this place borderline hysterical (Which I do not recommend doing at any kind of business, but I was worried that the car was not safe.) They could have sold me anything and again, they took the time to figure out the issue and explain it to me. One of the Conti’s pulled out their fancy computer thing and told me what the code was, cleared it and told me I could drive to work and my car would not explode while on the highway. I ended up coming back to have the issue fixed. The price was reasonable and the work was done in a timely manner. I love that they take the time to explain the issue and what repairs are needed. I did not feel belittled or spoken down too either.
It’s a family owned business and the father of the family has been repairing cars for over 30 years. (My roommate takes her car here, and her father has been taking there cars there for decades. You can feel good about giving them a chunk of your paycheck to fix your beater or your crazy expensive sports car.
