I have been going to Excel for many years. Judy is my PT and she is awesome. Takes all the time needed to give me the proper treatment and I always feel much better when I leave. My back issues have pretty much disappeared since going to Excel. One day Judy spent an extra ½ hour with me to put together a workout program that would not strain my back in any way. Highly recommended!!!

I would suggest that anyone looking for physical therapy get a reccommendation from their ortho. I had therapy years ago with great success for a knee injury, however was instructed by my ortho to visit a PT nearest me. This was a big mistake and an awakening. I went to Excel for 2 visits and I was very disappointed. The initial visit was an assessment, which is fair enough. The second visit was incredibly disappointing. I did a few leg lifts and a couple of stretches and then handed over my hard earned money with a list of more appointments. After sitting with that for a day, I cancelled all of those appointments and hired a personal trainer for about half the cost of what I was paying to be instructed to do a few leg lifts and a few stretches. Luckily my injury is a minor sports injury so this option just made sense. If i truly need PT in the future, i will be looking for serious reccommendations before parting with my $$$.

I had a very bad experience with Excel. I traveled there from Providence during my lunch breaks at work, and Excel repeatedly«forgot» I was booked for an appointment — I would show up, and they would have no record of my appointment for that day, and no room to squeeze me in, so I’d have to just leave. Even worse, they would schedule me for the wrong time, so that when I arrived ready to go, my appointment had been moved to a few hours later. The trainers were very nice, but due to packed booking and the setup of the facility(patients placed in separate curtained-off areas), they sometimes forgot I was there while dealing with another patient, which was not ideal when taking a one-hour lunch break from work that would sometimes get extended to an hour and a half. All in all, they have very bad patient management over there, and the services themselves are not spectacular enough to warrant ever returning.

I can’t say enough about this place and the people that work there. I went in with something called«runners’ knee», which basically meant that my knee was killing me, and my quads and hamstrings were incredibly weak. When I first got there, I was having trouble walking up stairs without pain. By the time I left, my legs were much stronger and the pain in my knee had subsided considerably. They also sent me out into the world with the knowledge of how to continue getting better and a repertoire of exercises to go along with that. I never once dreaded going there, and even came to look forward to it even though it was hard work. This was due to the staff and the positive environment that they have created over there. Good people who do great work. Print it.
