I would suggest you to try Garlic lobster. It was just like Cantonese style. It tasted so good.

can’t say why i haven’t noticed this place before. after all, it sits next to my favorite canto market in RI. i was craving congee and too lazy to cook it for myself. freedom seafood looks like a storefront but is actually a small café a la dai pai dong style in HK. it’s completely unassuming, the staff sit at dining tables reading the paper and chatting. very informal and friendly. proprietress offered many suggestions and service was prompt. now i judge a congee place by it’s preserved egg and pork congee. don’t poo poo at ghastly green egg yolks, you’re depriving yourself. freedom’s was relatively generous w it’s preserved egg but the pork was pulled while i personally prefer strips. the congee itself was on the gluier end and bland wo white pepper. served w fried wontons(huh, this is different) it satisfied my craving but did not leave me wanting more. menu also offers dim sum options, i had the steamed pork rice noodles which were standard but not exceptional. would i go again to stave off longing for home? sure. do i recommend it to canto connoisseurs? not necessarily.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 San Francisco Bay Area
Freedom Seafood is not advertised on Unilocal as a Chinese Restaurant. That’s too bad because people like me visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area would have missed this truly authentic Cantonese restaurant. The location is 832 Park, Cranston, RI, 2910. I was shopping for groceries at the Chinese-American Market next door and decided to take a chance and try them for lunch. I ordered Rice Porridge w/fish and Singapore Spicy Rice Noodles. I hesitate to give this place 4 Stars but I did anyway because of the authentic taste of their food. I noticed several Chinese college aged patrons dining there, which is indicated to me that the eats are good and for cheap. This place is a combination fish market and fast food, sit or take-out restaurant run by a Mom & Pop. It is typical of several small noodle houses in San Francisco. Everything is Cantonese; Please don’t expect Shanghai Dumplings, Peking Duck, or Shark-Fin Soup… If you are looking for economical Rice Plate, Noodle Soup, Rice Porridge, or some Stir-Fried Dishes-This is the Place! Fanny, was very friendly, she told me they buy their veggies fresh from the grocery next door. I also liked that the restroom was very clean!
