I took my mother shopping here recently and I have to say, I was really impressed with the level of service the women working there provide. With racks of summer apparel on sale, my mom was elbows-​deep into linens and knits, squealing with glee over the incredible prices for beautiful clothes. When the sizes she took in with her turned out to be way too big, the woman assisting her jumped right in and helped her with everything.
The clothes are nice — relaxed, casual separates and dresses with a toned-​down color palate and tasteful hems. They have a few accessories like scarves and necklaces, and everything is of a quality you’d expect from a nicer chain store.
The thing that impressed me the most was when a linen button down my mother absolutely loved wasn’t in stock in her size, one of the women hopped on the computer and called several stores to locate it for her and have it directly shipped to her. I’ve seen this done at higher end department stores like Nordstrom and Saks, but never at a chain like this. Even though the top was a sale item and these women do not work on commission, this women went out of her way to make my mom happy, and for that I will forever be impressed with this J Jill.
