As a lifetime lover of bakery pizza, spinach pies, egg biscuits, wine biscuits, donuts… um, forget it. Bakeries, as a lifetime lover of BAKERIES, i was surprised that i had never noticed or tried this bakery before. Ive now been a handful of times and gotten a chance to sample some of their goodies. The pizza and calzones quickly made it to my short list of favorites. The dough they use is the perfect crispy/chewy consistency. The worst bakery pizza has that super soft crust with a mountain of sauce(Depetrilo’s*cough* or Dave’s Market *cough* *cough*). Bonus tip: check the fridge to the left when you walk in. They sell yesterday’s goodies for ½ off. Im talking a ½ sheet of pizza for $ 5! What?! The only(slight) con of this«sweet» spot is there sauce. It is a little flavorless. in my opinion. Seasoning, garlic, and a pinch of sugar would make this a 5 star review from me. Its definitely not a deal-breaker, though. Pros far outweigh the cons as evidenced by visit frequency.

I only came here to get Allie’s donuts. I called ahead to make sure they had a decent selection. The woman on the phone was really nice. First thing I noticed was how clean it was in there. It’s bright and well organized. Everything looked really delicious. The pizza strips caught my eye. I’ll be back to try more than donuts.

I love this little bakery. Everything is fresh baked each day. So, not only do they carry Allie’s donuts, but there’s a whole case full of fresh pastries and another two hot cases filled with calzones, pizza strips, and spinach pies. The best $ 5 you will ever spend here is on their spinach pies. They’re perfectly sized to fit in your hand and stuffed full of goodness. I seriously though Palmieri’s had the best until I tried these. They even make a spinach delight pie that rivals the famous Whimpy Skimpy(because it’s not drenched in grease!). The calzones are about the same size as the spinach pies, so there are plenty more choices that are perfect for lunch. Steak & cheese, pepperoni, broccoli, Mediterranean, all of which are delicious. I clearly favor the savory choices at Mega’s, but the pastries are just as good. Show up early if you’re looking to purchase specific items because by noon-1pm the cases are pretty much less than half full and the remaining stock quickly dwindles down later on in the afternoon.

Reviews are somewhat misleading. I was there at 9:30 a.m. and no more Allie’s donuts. Maybe I’m out of touch but this bakery seems a little pricey compared to others I’ve been to. It was clean but nothing remarkable with the products. I tried pizza chips ok and so was the chicken parm calzone just ok. For my Allie’s fix I will take the ride for fresh donuts.

I love nearby to Mega’s bakery and so it is very convenient for me and I’ve never seen it busy That being said, this is the only place I go for party pizza. They always have a plentiful amount and I really, really enjoy to party pizza there. The slices are fluffy and soft and the sauce is thick. There’s nothing I dislike more than dried up sauce and chewy bread with a party pizza. And at $ 8 for a box(16 pieces), you can’t go wrong. Also, The staff is very friendly and the baked goods and breads look very good, but I have yet to try any.

I love this bakery. The people behind the counter are always so nice and I just love their food. I also love that they get a daily batch of Allie’s donuts from N.K. The bakery is newly renovated, always clean, and loaded with goodies!

Little place in Cranston that serves delicious Annie’s donuts and coffee for a great price. They also carry many other tempting treats but I stuck with the donuts and was very satisfied.

Let’s talk donuts… Allie’s are available here. As are canoli, bread and a host of other delicious baked offerings. Do not let the semi-yuck rent-to-own strip mall based location scare you, it is worth the trip inside. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this quaint, family-owned establishment on the one hand… but on the other, my stomach(and the weight loss I am trying to accomplish) may find a challenge in coming here all too often. I guess I’ll need to do a few more squats and push ups to make up for all the goodness going on here. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, when I hope to sample the tiramisu that I was able to resist on my last trip in.

Mega’s Bakery saves me a 30 minute round trip commute from PVD to North Kingstown for my Allie’s donut fix and that’s good enough for me. I’d talk more about the nice service, in house baking, fair pricing for the other traditional Italian bakery items and how cute I find it that the mom gossips about how proud she is of her daughter to her customers while her daughter is no greater than 2 feet away, but I keep stuffing my face with crullers to get into detail. Visit and see for yourself. p. s. My waistline is doomed… and it’s worth it.
