We decided to use North-​Eastern because they took down 3 very large oak trees and chose to use a bucket instead of a crane. They did the job in 1 day and on the coldest day of the year. We expected them to cancel but instead they showed up as scheduled and left the site neat and cleaned up. We were very please with their work and would use them again.

Scott, the arborist called on Saturday, October 3 to reschedule my tree removal for this morning, October 9. He said they would arrive at 7:45. At 9am, I called the office and was told by the woman who answered the phone that she would contact Scott and call me back. When I hadn’t heard anything by 10:15, my brother called. He was told by the same woman I had spoken to earlier that because I had not called them back to confirm, they wouldn’t be able to come until sometime next week! Confirm? Confirm what?! I spoke with Scott personally so why would I call them to confirm? Oh, and by the way, I forgot to mention that I have been waiting for them since August 4 and was given a number or excuses. Evidently, having had work done by them in the past means nothing.

We had them remove a tree and trim what was a tall beautiful cedar in our yard. The butchered this century-​plus old tree. They removed far more limbs than requested leaving it with an inadequate canopy to remain viable, and destroying the appearance of a beloved tree. They did not show up when scheduled. Destroyed the garden around the tree. Left a mess in the yard and their answer was that the garden would «grow back.»

Wow! We had multiple quotes and were not sure which company to go with. Dan’s bid came in competitively, and we are absolutely 110% satisfied. Our historic home in east side of Providence provided a few challenges with regards to access, but this crew did a fantastic job.
They went above and beyond, and we are very pleased. The crew worked very hard, sweating it out under the hot /​muggy conditions. We had a cherry, maple, elm all removed in tight quarters done with remarkable precision, in addition to some over arching elm’s that were climbed and pruned. Clean up was great, and they completed the job all in one day. Dan even helped us find a way to save some money — as we were able to independently get rid of the wood, saving us the additional day of clean up. Fantastic crew, great operation we will certainly be repeating out tree business with North Eastern.

A large tree limb fell from our tree into the neighbor’s yard. I called and confirmed two times the time they were supposed to come out and gave them our number to call when they were on their way. NO SHOW, NO CALL! Unprofessional!

I’ve used North eastern tree for a few jobs, big and moderate sized. Every job has been flawless, thorough and timely.
The last job included a 75 foot maple near power lines, a 60 foot maple, a 50 ft cherry and a trim on several of my neighbors trees. The 2 man crew were there 2 hours after the estimate and the job was done by 5pm that day. This is during the busiest time of the year for tree work. Apparently, I timed it right. All branches were cleaned up. They even raked the lawn clean. Talk about thorough.
The previous job was 4, 100 foot pine trees. All ground down to nothing in no time.
Their prices are very fair as well. And to add icing to the cake, they have a remote control grinder which I totally geeked out on. SUPER COOL!

We went with this company based on their good reviews for reliability despite the fact they are most certainly not the economical choice. We were incredibly disappointed. They didn’t show up at all on the day they said they would with no communication. Didn’t show up in the second attempt either, with no communication. When they finally showed up they said the job would be done within one day. It actually took 16 days of no shows, no communication, rude responses from the office personnel, equipment and trees scattered and left all over our property and our yard being totally trashed before the job was completed. One of the guys showed up unannounced one day about 2 weeks into the job, hammered on the door and demanded my wife move her car. So rude! The only thing prompt about the service was the request for payment. We were told we had 30 days to pay and received 4 invoices in under 3 weeks. Would most definitely not use again, nor recommend to anyone.

We scheduled an estimate with North Eastern Tree Service and took time off work to meet with them. They never showed up for the estimate. We called them to find out what happened and they said we were outside of their service area, so they cancelled our appointment but never told us. Thanks for nothing North Eastern Tree Service.

After getting several estimates for a pretty large job, we initially went with the lowest bid and were very disappointed. Northeastern’s price was close– and we wish we had gone with them from the start.
We have been thrilled with the Northeastern Tree Service over the past several months. The scope of work has evolved and Dan has been nothing but accommodating and practical in his suggestions and delivery. Despite the rain, which seems to arrive on cue whenever we have work scheduled, the crew at Northeastern Tree Service has been timely, professional and dependable.

After having a horrible experience with a local «unprofessional» company we called North Eastern and met with Dan. The quote was reasonable and he was very professional. The crew that removed the tree was friendly and worked quickly and carefully. They managed to remove a tree that was 4 feet from our above ground pool without dropping even a twig on it. We will definitely use them again and refer any friends to them as well.

They were about 3 hours late, but did the job in an hour and a great job at that.
Will call them again in the future.

I am a wildlife rehabilitator and we were having a difficult time finding a tree climber to help us put a baby owlet back in his nest. The owner of this company was nice enough to volunteer his time and equipment to get our owlet back to his mom who had been staying near the nest looking for her baby. Character is just as important as skill and we really appreciate them helping us out with this.

Great company. We worked with Dan and got great customer service. We had 4 trees taken down 2 of which where not easy. They did a wonderful job while not damaging any other trees or property. They did exactly what they promised and did a super job cleaning up after. returned the next day to grind stumps as promised. Pricing is very good and workers were very friendly and professional. If looking for tree work make sure to give them a call. They will come out right away to give you a price but are very busy so it may take a week or two to get the work done but it is very worth it.

We hired Northeastern Tree last year after Irene delivered a severe blow to a large oak tree in our backyard. It was still standing but half of it had come down and everyone we spoke to agreed that it was at the end of its life. They came out right away to give us an estimate. The estimate was far less than the others that we’d received. The catch was that they wouldn’t be able to make it out until December of that year. We opted to wait in hopes that we wouldn’t get another bad storm that would cause more damage.
They were a little late but showed up in early January and removed the tree. The tree was right up against my neighbor’s fence so they had to work in my yard and in my neighbor’s. There were other structures and trees that they had to work around. They acknowledged that it was a very difficult job but they completed it quickly at the price I was quoted. They weren’t able to take the stump all the way to the ground because of the fence so they said they’d be back with different equipment. They were back within the week to complete the job.
Overall I was very satisfied with the experience and would definitely hire Northeastern again if I have another tree problem.

The workers worked diligently to finish the job in one day that included removing 6 trees and some trim work. I would definitely use them again for all my future tree work.

They came in a timley fashion. They answered my questions and drew me a picture even !
The work was rapidly done and for the exact amount of the estimate.
I paid $ 520.00 to prune two maples and have limbs cut off endangering the house. I admit that at first glance, I felt as if the tree was being cut down entirely. But in fact I ended up with a great open space in the back of the yard with shade and air, so unlike the brooding forest I had started with.
They know their stuff !
