Bella T Winery

A group of us in town for the weekend had a very unpleasant experience at this winery. The man offering wine tastings could not have been more unpleasant. He was critical of the order in which we chose wines, ignored our questions, splashed a VERY small amount of wine as he poured for some of us. We sat down to order food and thankfully one of the other customers informed us that we had to place our order with grumpy at the bar. The service was very slow, but after waiting close to an hour for our food we learned our order never made it to the kitchen because grumpy gave us the ticket, instead of giving it to the kitchen. This place was a huge disappointment. I would not go back. Blue Sky Winery (about a half hour drive away), on other hand, was awesome!

We had our wedding here on June 14, 2013, and it was gorgeous! The winery was great to work with. We loved having the flexibility to plan out wedding the way we wanted. Every time we came down for a «planning trip» we enjoyed spending time with the staff (esp. Angie!) and drinking some southern IL wines. The prices are extremely fair, and the scenery is picture perfect. We used the pagoda for our ceremony, the bocce ball court for games, the inside for dinner, one of the pavilions for dancing, took pictures in the vineyard, and basically had our run of the place after hours. The staff was extremely fun and friendly, and I think we picked the perfect place to get married! The atmosphere was fun and relaxed– exactly what we wanted. If you’re looking for a southern IL winery to get married at, this is a great place!

This place is gorgeous. The facilities are ideal for weddings and private parties. The staff is friendly. The wine? Good but not great. Granted, it must have been good enough because I purchased a mixed case of 12 bottles. If you are in the area visit Bella Terra.

The Sangria here is awesome!
We always get the combo Sangria and it never dissapoints us.
The outside area is very nice as well. I think they could kill the 50’s music that they play. but overall a great place to hangout with some friends or family.
The vineyards out front are nice to look at as well.

Good service! Good music! Good view of the pond! Tasty sweet wine!
