I love eating at El Corral. There fajitas are phenomenal, the queso dip is delicious, and the margaritas are just like I like them, Big!!!

Have visited many times and had good experiences until this last time and wanted to warn others. The staff did not charge the prices listed on the menu for my meal. I was with one other person and we split fajitas — which were listed as $ 20.99 on the menu. When we received our bill we were charged $ 28.00. When asked about the difference the waitress said there is apparently only one fajita for $ 20.99 — however the menu states that price for a variety of them, including the ones we ordered. I was very disappointed. She was nasty about the whole thing and I will not be back.

Went for a family birthday party tonight. My family loves using their party room for private parties as it is big and there is no extra party charge. Food was better this time, fresh and hot. We got the burrito deluxe platter and I got the ACP plate which would have been better with sautéed onions and peppers. Service was pretty quick considering we were a pretty large party. We also didn’t wait too long for the food. Everything was timed out nicely. There were several patrons that were enjoying the side patio.

Good meal for a fair price. The service was fast and friendly. My meal arrived promptly after ordering and was good and hot(temperature). If you are looking for a nice Mexican meal in Creedmoor El Corral can satisfy.

Had lunch here while in Creedmor, the folks I worked with at the bank for the week were fans. We ordered it to go one day and I was very pleased with mine. I had a bean burrito with cheese sauce and a side of rice. All of the food was delicious. I am super picky over rice but their was great, perfectly fluffy and delicious.

Food is pretty decent, nothing special. Just your typical not authentic-type mexican. Service has been great. Definitely not something I can complain about. Unfortunately, drinks and food are overpriced. Especially compared to a similar restaurant across town.

Very good food, salsa was good(not too spicy, which is good for me). Food was hot, fresh and tasty. I had a combo of burrito and tostada with rice and black beans. Service was great — very friendly associates.

Never really had good food here unfortunately. El Rio is not far up the road and is SO much better, and El Rio accepts their coupons. This restaurant’s food has always been lukewarm when served and lacking in flavor and seasoning — and believe me — I LOVE Mexican food. It really has to be bad for me to not want it. This place is only a few blocks from my home and I would rather drive to Butner than eat here. The service leaves something to be desired as well, but it’s not as bad as the food.

El Corral started off very strong and then had lost their mojo about 2 years ago. They have definitely gotten their groove back though. The prices have climbed some in the last several years but the food is excellent and service is the best in the entire RDU area. Staff is very attentive and the food comes out of the kitchen fast. They also currently carry a 99.5 health rating.

El Corral has excellent cuisine, very attentive wait staff and speedy service. Margaritas come out fast and large and the sweet tea is up there with the best. Potions are large and the menu is comprehensive. Have not been disappointed after more than 6 visits, trying something different every time. Never had to wait long for a table. English is spoken very well by the Latino staff. 10 out of 10.

Three visits in eight days. We were running late to set up camp for our 35th anniversary at Falls Lake and decided to find someplace where we could get some food to go on our way. We were driving down St. Rt. 50 and feared we’d be grabbing some chain food from a fast food restaurant when the speed limit dropped from 55 to 20 and we entered the classic American town of Creedmore, NC. We expected to see the kind of town restaurant that small towns like this often have somewhere down«Main Street», but we were surprised to see the sign for El Corral and the idea of Tex Mex to go sounded great. As my wife waited in the car with our dog and overloaded jeep, I went inside to order our food. The inside of this restaurant is warm with stained wood walls, comfortable seating, and tasteful paintings depicting scenes of Latin American buildings. Two tvs near the bar had ESPN on one, and a Spanish language sports channel on the other. I met Alex that day and he immediately made me feel like a regular. He introduced me to Alberto, my server, who brought me a bottle of Dos Equis Amber and a frosted mug I had ordered for my wait. About a fourth of the inside tables were occupied as I ordered vegetable enchiladas and chili relleno for my wife which came with beans and rice. I was looking for food I could hold in hand while setting up a tent and unloading my car and the Tacos La Diabla.(the lady devil?). This is a meat of your choice, my beef strips were seasoned excellently, served on a corn tortilla with long wide slices of jalapeño including the seeds with bean. As a native born Louisianan, I love food that bites back, but as I bit into my first taco, the delicious flavor was followed by a bite AND a slap to the face. It was delicious. My wife loved hers so much that we decided that on our actual anniversary, we’d go back. It’s good we did. The plan had been to have an appetizer and a margarita and then return to the campsite so I could cook our actual dinner. Alex met us again, and was our server as well since the restaurant was nearly empty that night. The grande Margaritas were delivered in glasses that could have held two gold fish comfortably. We ordered one Nachos Especial with chicken and held the sour cream. The chicken was remarkably tender and wonderfully seasoned and piled high with veggies, beans, but was not drowned in cheese. We ordered a flan to go, my wife’s favorite dessert, and she said it was one of the best she’d ever had. It had been a large order of nachos and we left so full, I wondered if I would even want to cook that night and it’s good we didn’t as a storm front kept the grill area wet until well past midnight. We stayed in our tent, listened to the rain hit the rain fly, and read, fully sated from a wonderful meal. The day we left, we decided to stop by El Corral one more time. One of my favorite Tex Mex meals is huevos rancheros and I wanted to try theirs. We had hoped to arrive during lunch, but it was nearly 5pm when we arrived and I feared I would have to get something else. Huevos is often a lunchtime only meal at many such restaurants — who won’t serve it after lunch time — and was listed as such on the El Corral menu too. However, Alberto was our server again and was happy to take my order. My wife had two chili rellenos and a chalupa and we ordered a side of guacamole and beans to complement the chips and salsa they always brought to us. It’s good we did as service was a little slower that night because only two tables remained empty at any given time. Even the outside tables, a place where well behaved dogs are welcome with their owners, were full despite the 90+ degree day. What really impressed me was how much the locals really liked and appreciated the latinos who worked there. Guests sought out their favorite servers shaking hands and slapping shoulder. My huevos came with tortillas and I ALWAYS order the tortillas mais, corn tortillas. I had ordered a side of chorizo sausage and mixed it all together with the eggs, sauce, beans, tortillas and rice. It was so good I overate and regretted I had no room to eat even more. Much better than the huevos I get at the Tex Mex restaurants in my area. My wife felt the same way about her rellenos. I was glad to see that Unilocal had reviews on this restaurant as when we had looked for TexMex on my wife’s smart phone to confirm the name and get directions, and even though El Corral was the closest restaurant to our camp ground, it wasn’t even listed. Her phone wanted to send us to Raleigh, Durham, or Wake Forest. I would suggest that the folks who rated El Corral under three stars showed up on an off night and would hope they would give it another chance. We ordered three times, visited twice, in eight days and the next time we camp at Falls Lake, another place to which I can give at least four stars, we will visit this taste of Latin America in this All American town.

Believe it! They offer the standard Mexican fare with some notable additions. The tacos ala diabla are exceptional. If you dig spicy, you must check these out. A truly picante blend of carnitas pork and chorizo grilled with onions & fresh jalepeños. These tacos will break the faint of heart or those who tear-up from a couple drops of Tabasco. On the lighter side, they offer a simple spinach salad with savoury grilled chicken that is incredible. The staff is really nice, remembers repeat customers and will accommodate special requests.

I’m becoming a El Corral fan. This is some good, homemade Mexican food. I can’t even say that I’ve sampled a huge amount of menu items at this point, but I can say that I haven’t been disappointed yet. There’s a vegetarian section, the Steak Rancheros is good, Burrito Fajita, chili rellenos… heck everything is pretty good. They don’t go overboard on the seasoning, and I wish they did quite honestly. But heck, if that’s my only complaint, then I should just keep it to myself right? Probably should, because I’ll be back again.(And the inside is nicely laid out too, good place to kick back and dine.)

It’s time to give an update. I’ve been here dozens of times over the past Year and a half + and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff knows what I like and how I like things prepared, as in HOT! Case in point, last evening… I had a plate of grilled jalapenos and onions come out just before my shrimp fajitas came to the table, and what a complement they were to my meal. Service has improved tremendously since our first few visits, inquiring into our hobbies, even asking where the rest of the family is when we don’t all come in together. Finally, a Mexican/Tex-Mex place in NC that understands what«Hot & Spicy» means. In my opinion, if it doesn’t make me sweat, it’s not hot. After the freezing temperatures these past few days, it was good to sweat a little! Love this place, and after visiting back to El Rio once, all I can say is El Corral has better food, better service and everything else it takes to more than be just competitive, but also to excel beyond one’s expectations.

I visited my brother in Creedmoor last year after they moved there from California. He told me ‘There’s a *great* new mexican style place in town here!’ that he wanted me to try. That meant a lot because well, we’ve been to plenty of Mexican(And related Latin) restaurants, some very good. True enough, this place is a gem! In the two weeks I was there we ate here about 4 times, it was that great. Really, it was something to write home about. I’m not sure the influence here. Though it’s called ‘Mexican’ there was something bout another more southern country of influence. Whatever, the combinations of fresh foods and incredible tastes are on my mind as I write this now just over a year later. What’s sort of funny about this review is that I’m moving to Creedmoor! I’m driving out on Saturday. I’ll probably have dinner here the following Saturday. I’m really looking forward to it!
