Only reason they don’t get 5 stars is every time I want to eat at ccs they are closed. There isn’t a place I’d rather eat at after church but alas it’s closed. Food is tasty service is amazing and shakes are best in town

I’ve come here several times to get milk shakes when my family visits and we all agree these are some of the very best shakes we’ve ever had. Especially the chocolate ones.

This little diner is not bad at all. The burgers are great, and they offer plenty of topping and sauce variations. The meat is a higher end frozen patty, cooked on a flat grill. I prefer my burgers charbroiled, but they do a good job. The veggies are fresh, and the buns are good quality. The fries are not great. Either their deep fryer is not hot enough or they need to change the oil more often… the fries can be greasy. They serve their soda in frosted mugs, a very nice touch. Their ice cream is wonderful, and they are generous with the portions. The counter staff can be an issue. Most of the girls are friendly, but there is one employee that seems to be bothered by customers… they should reconsider her employment. 99% of the time they are great. The restaurant is clean, and very nicely decorated. The location is a little awkward, as is parking, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Their prices are on point, expect to spend between $ 10 – 14 per person for a meal, drink and dessert. Overall a great little diner, but please give that young lady an attitude adjustment, and turn the heat up on the fryer or change the oil!

I had the Iowa burger it was so good and the fries are just like making them homemade. The price was good also. I will be going back… Very Yummy

I’m shocked this place doesn’t have more positive reviews! The food is great! One of the best hamburgers in the state. They make great tator tots as well. The creamery is also top notch. Their French fries are okay, but usually I just get the tots. I’m from San Francisco and I eat here whenever I pass through, wouldn’t miss it.

Chocolate milkshake here was inedible. Server handed me a vanilla shake saying they were out of chocolate ice cream. Had to explain about chocolate syrup. Two sips and in the garbage it went. I’d go back for a refund but I’m disgusted and will never go back for anything. Crappy untrained youthful service, avoid at all costs.

The malt was good. I’d get it again but the service was awful. Several unhappy high school kids who tried their best to ignore us as long as possible — not even eye contact. Once we finally were helped and ordered we sat around in an EMPTY restaurant for 17 minutes waiting on our 2 malts. Honestly, this place has potential(I’d compare it to Baskins and robins) but they need to get some real help.

Stayed in town for a few days struggled with finding any good food, this was the first place that we actually enjoyed. The ordering process was a bit confusing at first. I got a burger and it was super good and the fry’s where very good also.

Stopped here while on vacation. Nice place and fun décor with old toys, bottles, newspaper clippings and such. The food was good. Just the normal diner fare like burgers, hot dogs, fries, tater tots, shakes, and ice cream. They don’t make their own ice cream, it’s just Dryer’s, but heck it’s ice cream! Would surely eat here again if in the area. This place is nothing spectacular but would send friends and family.

Don’t come here for the food. Ice cream is good, but its hard to screw that up. Staff(2 young girls) were very rude when asked what was included in different menu items. Fries came out very soggy and almost inedible. Burger tasted like it came from a frozen patty.

I go here really for ice cream. The selection is duh, the best in town because, well, its the only ice cream shop in town… The kids ice cream is only $ 1 and the adults is $ 1.99 so you can guess I’m here for my kids quite often. I like the corndogs because I hate waiting 30 minutes for one in my oven and I can’t stand microwaved corndoggies. The fries are hit or miss and the style is too. Sometimes I get thin ones and other times they are thick, I don’t like the uncertainty. Burgers are decent but the meat is thin. Patty melt is extremely dry. They don’t add the typical sauce(you can request it on the side though). The place is mostly clean but it’s true what other reviewers have said about how they bus the tables but don’t wipe them often. Also, the seats are never wiped and that annoys me. Workers are pretty friendly, not overly, but manageable.

Pros: clean, fun atmosphere, friendly staff and decent burgers. Great for kids, with kid-sized burgers, drinks and ice cream. Good pricing. My sister heartily recommends the avocado bacon burger. Cons: veeeeery limp french fries, undercooked tots, and bacon blue burger only has blue cheese salad dressing and not blue cheese crumbles, with rather limp bacon.

We – my girlfriend and I – love this little diner. Truthfully, it’s a burger joint, not a diner. Diners offer dinners, not just burgers, and have wait staff and the like. But I’m being picky. We go in there when we can, when we’re in Crescent City, which isn’t all that often. The burgers are hot, delicious, and ample. Good french fries, fried mushrooms, and excellent ice cream for dessert. The owner and his staff are friendly, quick, and quiet. Too – and this is a huge, huge plus for me – the restaurant is clean. You don’t walk out of there wondering if you’ve just given yourself e-coli. The bathroom is kept clean and so are the tables and the floor. Such considerations probably don’t mean that much to some folks, but they mean a lot to me. A clean restaurant is indicative of an owner and staff who actually care. It’s amazing how many don’t care. We’ve been to those places, too, and won’t be going back. If you go to CC’s, try their bacon burger with fries. Delicious.

Since Burger joints are so limited in this town, this diner isn’t half bad. It gives a modest attempt of recreating an old fashioned 1960’s Coca Cola era. By far the best burgers there are the Bacon and Blue Cheese and the Buffalo Burgers. The one thing that’s unfortunate about this place is that their staff are all kids and of course kids mess up orders a lot. You have to make sure to reiterate what you have ordered or they just forget and bill you anyways.

If you don’t live in the area, you might not see this place tucked into a strip mall, on a street that’s sort of parallel to Hwy 101. But if you prefer to avoid chains, it’s a good option. It’s a small place with a 50s diner look: red/white/black décor, Coke memorabilia, etc. They serve Dreyer’s ice cream, and the prices for a cone are really low. Make sure you save room for dessert. The burgers are just fine. I got mine with cheese and an ortega chile. It was a diner burger, nothing more nothing less. But I was pleasantly surprised by their thin, fresh French fries. I’m guessing they cut them fresh daily; there’s no way you can get that flavor from a frozen fry. I would return for a French fry fix. Fries are something I don’t bother making at home because of the mess. It’s nice to know that Crescent City has a good option for feeding that need.
