They arrived on time and the tech, Jeff, was very nice. He did a good job getting our TV, phone and internet working in a reasonable amount of time. The only issue we had was that he left the cable box open on the side of the house with wires sticking out(not a good idea in rainy Oregon), but we took care of that ourselves easily. The call center reps were very nice, also. The original appointment was out over a week, but they called us with an earlier appointment a few days later which was appreciated. We have had the service for 2 months, and had one system-wide TV outage that was quickly resolved, and one internet & phone failure that was resolved by a hard boot of the modem(unplug for a few seconds and plug back in). In both cases, the call center reps were super nice and helpful. The price is great, compared to the alternatives. They have auto-pay available, so that makes payment really effortless, and their website is not too difficult to navigate.

Local channels seem to always go out during prime time. Customer service is reasonable. Price is great and competitive.

How do you get hold of a real person? Tried to go through every permutation of the menu to speak to a real person about the problem but no way to ask the question I needed answered. The question was«what happened to KEET last night?» We were getting ready to watch«Downton Abbey“‘and there is no station.nanda. Nothing. Shows the station listed but nothing came across. This morning there is KEET on the air. So is this a one time event or will there be no Sunday evening programming for now to eternity? But there is no way to contact your local charter cable(must call their main impersonal number) to get an answer to a local question. If there was an alternative to Charter I would jump at the chance!

Awful, Cable guy was very rude and pushy. Even after we made a Drop off only appointment to give us a new Box to replace the defective unit we had they guy tried to push into our home. Telling my wife that HE must install it. WE sent him away. He then came back and Said you have an issue with your Broad Band Modem. WE said WE do? he Said«I am not Asking I am Telling you» WE then Asked him to leave again! Carter Cable needs to Train there Service Techs a bit better. And when a Customer makes a Drop off only appointment dont send a guy to come peek in your underwear draw! Beware of Charter Cable.

Really awful experience. The communication between the consumer, us, and the company was just unprofessional. They said they would show for an installation date and never did. When we called they said the installation dates are flexible. Well maybe you should people then so they plan their day around you being there. We waited nearly three weeks to be told they needed to contract another company to look at the cables. It’s like the other reviewer said, they tell you one thing over the phone but don’t follow through. Don’t trust this company if you live in the Hiouchi, Smith River, or Crescent City area.

This company is an out and out liar — so BEWARE. I was talking to friends today who commented that they had discontinued their Charter bundle after seeing the company add unexpected fees and line items to their bill after a few months at the advertized price making it far more expensive than stated. The company gave them the run-around when they complained. I’m writing this review BECAUSETHEYDIDTHEEXACTSAMETHINGTOME. They get away with it because too many people are disgusted but keep the service anyway which is what they count on. Can’t believe I’m writing the first review — I anticipated a long string of 1 star reviews. Maybe people don’t bother cause they have a well-known lousy reputation. Feel sorry for the local people who work for them.
