Crescent Trail Rides

It was an amazing experience. We did the beach ride and it was beautiful. We met Lorie at her house then drove to the Toluwa Stata Dunes park and rode the horses. Each horse had a different personality, it was as if she matched them perfectly to us 4.

Had a great time! Lori and Sara were great. I’m 5’1″ and my husband is 6’3″ and they paired us with Danny and Duke who were great matches. The views were great. We did the 3-​hr and it was perfect.

If you don’t ride often you might want to stick with the 2 hour ride. We elected to go for 3 hours and the last 20 minutes we were pooped. I don’t know why… the horses do all the work!

We contacted Lorie less than a week before our trip to Crescent City, and she was very accommodating in scheduling our party of six. After meeting Lorie at her stables, we followed her a short distance to the Tolowa Dunes State Park. Lorie and her assistant did all the work– from sitting us on the best horse for our level to guiding us on a relaxed but varied trail through trees, dunes, and beaches. Our entire party enjoyed the day and now have fabulous memories to carry with us.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The horses do all the work :) Great for first time riders. Awesome way to take in the beautiful northern coast.

Went out riding with Lorie and her daughter today. Had a great time on Zara, Cinnamon, and Jessie. Lorie was timely and reasonably priced. She follows the riders lead as to how much conversation or quite one could want on a ride. She was most accomodating when I emailed and explained that it was a surprise for our 13 year old daughter. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly she unloaded and was ready to hit the trail.

Fun adventure when looking for activities to do while visiting Crescent City. The owner Lorie was great in scheduling a ride for date and time that worked well for me. The horses were well trained and easy enough to maneuver through the rugged Mills Creek trail ride. I chose the 2 hour ride and that was plenty of time to ride down the the creek and back. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful. There is also a beach ride option you can pick when booking your ride. The prices are reasonable and I definitley recommend this company and giving the the experience a try if you’re looking for something fun and different to do in Del Norte county. The only con of the experience was a sore rear end for a couple days after but that’s to be expected.

The best of the best. No better way to see this amazing part of the world than on the back of a horse, and no better person to guide you than Lorie!
