Super friendly park ranger helped us with a day trip plan. We are from Austin and debating on staying another night so we can explore more areas here in the Redwoods. She was so very helpful and gave such wonderful directions for us out of towners

BEADVISED, THESTATEANDNATIONALPARKRANGERSAREOUTOFCONTROLASWELLASCALFIRE. citations are being issued by CAl Fire for speeding… calfire does not have radar’s in their vehicles. A lot of travelers are getting harassed by the park rangers in an unsafe manner. Please be careful, only speak and answer direct yes and no questions;;;do not have consensual conversations with park rangers… a few of them are enraged… and act accordingly… there are numerous video’s and photo graphs of questionable acts unbecoming to the State and National Park Rangers…

Beautiful and rejuvenating! Not the information center but the redwood trees in the parks! However, the knowledgeable ranger on staff in the center was very patient and kindly answered our questions, then allowed us to leisurely shop the souvenirs offered. Free parking is available in the municipal lot across the street from the front doors. If you collect imprints for your National Parks passport, this is where you can get your stamp. A great place to begin your exploration of Redwood National and State Parks!
