A short hike(.5 mile) on the river trail will take you to a bundle of redwoods grove named after the person who donated these magnificent redwoods trees to the state park. It is a loop around redwoods. It’s beautiful. A part of the trail goes to the river, where people fishing for salmon. I saw some people carved their names on the tree. So bad… :(why would people do that! Driving to it maybe hard cuz it’s one way, but it’s worth it in the end.

I little bit of a distance to get there with the road closed and the bridge from the park closed until summer, but it was a pretty trail to take.

Amid the forest you will find this beautiful grove. There is limited park and bathrooms in the parking area. This is a must do: park and go for a hike. There is a short loop and various trails that are longer and get away from the tourists taking photos of the trees. Recommend both.
