Widmer’s

No way I would use them again.
Needed a dress taken out, which as a woman is beyond embarrassing to begin with, and the woman could not have made me feel worse. She complained out loud in front of me about how it was going to be a huge hassle and then only had it for about 15 min before declaring that she couldn’t do it. Thanks for trying??? ugh.

Expensive.
Pros: Good alterations at a reasonable price if the garment is worth it.
Cons: 1) They melted the zipper on the skirt of an expensive suit so I could neither wear it nor consign it. They did not bring it to my attention and denied responsibility when I brought it in. 2) They lost the belt to an wool/​cashmere coat and I didn’t realize it until later in the fall when I went to wear it. When I brought it back it, they put a search on the belt but came up with nothing. The woman at the desk said it was my own fault for not noticing it immediately. She was rude about it too.
Warning: Check every item you pick up carefully before you leave the store!

I dropped off 6 Ralph Lauren long sleeve men’s dress shirts and a pair of Lacoste pants. Way too much money later I picked up 4 short sleeve men’s uniform shirts with the owners name embroidered on a sewn on patch and a pair of pants that were part of the uniform. Of course, I didn’t notice until I got them home. When I took them back to Widmer’s, they basically called me a liar. They also said they might never find the items I actually paid them to clean.
The correct items finally did get back to me over the course of a month. Never-​ever going back.

This place has great service and I recommend them if you have something delicate but be warned that they are rather expensive.
I unfortunately made the mistake of taking my $ 30 shower curtain there. It cost me $ 30 to dry clean it! Yikes! I could I have just bought a new one instead! It only cost $ 12 across the street at Dry Cleaning Etc and they did just as well cleaning it.
But when I needed my silk dress cleaned that has flower details and beading I knew I had to go to Widmer’s. I sent my husband there with specific instructions on pointing out all the details and when I came in to pick it up they had me look at it and make sure everything was perfect. It was perfect and was very content on spending extra for perfection when perfection is needed.
So yes, I learned my mistake. Basic stuff goes to Dry Cleaning Etc. Silk dress goes to Widmer’s.

We took our dry cleaning here before moving further east. The customer service was always efficient and pleasant. The location of the cleaners itself is an easy place to get in and out of, although this area of town is very congested. We were always pleased with the service we received and the prices.
