Not sure where to start…, ate here two days in a row… first day ordered two eggs over medium, bacon and hash browns…, eggs were done right and bacon was too… but i got totally uncooked hash browns… yuk…sent them back second time they were almost done… gave them a second chance today… bacon was barely cooked… had a large dark spot on one slice(not sure what that was)…eggs were supposed to be over medium(were over sleazy)…i asked specifically to make the hash browns dark brown… they came very light brown and uncooked again… then the waitress charged me more than double what i was charged the day before… avoid this place!

We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were delighted by the good food, generous portions, and value. Service could have been a bit speedier but there was only one cook, 2 servers, and the place was hoppin’. Laurie’s breakfast sandwich featured 3 strips of tasty thick-sliced bacon and my sausage and cheese omelet was stuffed with a very good sage-y pepper-y sausage and tangy American cheese. Our shared pancake was the size of a manhole cover and damn good with real butter and syrup. We’ll for sure stop in again next time we’re in Cresco or visiting the kids in Decorah!

This was recommended by someone who visits this area frequently and it was a good suggestion. Décor: Small diner. Stools and counter, tables or booths. Everything looks well used, but clean. It could have served as a movie set for a small town diner where the farmers and their wives gather in the morning to talk of crops and recipes. Menu: Varied. If you can’t find something on this menu to trip your fancy, you aren’t hungry. Food: Good, plentiful and stick to your ribs. Everything was great. Price: Very reasonable. Service: Good. Orders in, food out and drinks refilled. Couldn’t ask for more. I’ll be back.
