this place reminds me of my old days hanging out at the Checkerboard Lounge, Maxwell Street Sundays & the good ol’ Hideout. I felt like old Chicago for the night. I thank the BF for this wonderful flashback

Marty’s place is a great place to have a drink and see some of the BEST local bands in the area. The staff is friendly and no cover charge to see the bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Always a friendly crowd in the place. worth the trip there for people who love live music and great local bands. Marty’s place in addition to great local bands has four pool tables, darts and video gaming. something for everyone

If you are looking for a pub with a neighborhood feel(ala Cheers) but with a little bit extra, look no further than Marty’s Place in Crest Hill. Marty the owner and his staff are customer focused and will make you feel right at home. They offer a fine selection of daily beer and drink specials and although the menu is rather limited, the food they have is rather tasty. The chicken wings and personal pizza are especially good. On top of that, Marty’s has not only Karaōke a couple of times a week but also hosts some of the best local cover bands the area has to offer and with no cover charge. Performers such as Stevie Starlite, Under D Influence, Chasing Amy, The Righteous Hillbillies and Five Guys Named Moe among others regularly grace their stage. There are also 14 big screen TV’s broadcasting sports, news and television shows. If you haven’t been to Marty’s, make it a point to stop in and you just may find yourself with a new favorite bar!
