Customer service is horrible. Employees look like you are bothering them when you order. No smile, greeting, nothing. They messed up my order and the manager gave me a credit when I called. I tried to use my credit the next time I was in the area and they told me I couldn’t because the manager was off that day. So Ineed to revolve my credit around the manager’s schedule? What if she is off on the days that I am in the area? I had been a pretty regular customer before this but never again. I will give someone else my money and they can keep their awesome tacos. Two stars because I did think the tacos and rice were good.

Before, I’d only been to the truck version, so this was my first time inside. The salsa is awesome. I particularly like the green salsa. Usually I look for heat(and the red is perfectly spicy!), but the green has just the right balance of flavors. My favorite tacos are the steak tacos. Seriously, the steak is amazing. Chicken, chorizo and carnitas are all pretty good, but I could eat the steak all day. Husband LOVES the burritos. Very good. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the beans. They’re pretty flavorless. The rest of the family ordered beans, but left them on the plate after 1 or 2 bites. The rice is good though.

This is prob the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been too in this area. Party of 4 on a Friday night. Not many people but I think they just open this location. From what I gather. These people had a very successful taco truck. On route 30 in Plainfield. Had Steak Tacos and tortas. Meat was excellent. I can honestly say the steak had zero fat in it. It was seasoned to a very nice unique flavor, the tacos were a healthy size, and the bread on the torta was excellent. Took my order exactly as I wanted it. They now have alcohol. Only domestic. Nothing craft but that’s expected. Service was excellent. Waitress was friendly and funny. The rest of the staff super attentive. Also, saw they have a selection of different variety of ice cream for dessert. Didn’t have any that day but I’m excited to try it. In my opinion(and this is just me) I think they might be a tad bit pricey BUT totally worth it. I’m comparing here with the rest of the taco places around that area and the difference is prob a dollar or so Defiantly coming back

$ 6.99 for the dinner(1.50 too much for what you get flavorwise) Lady behind the counter has no personality or people skills. Teen taking food to table needs to wear an apron or pull his pants up. Not sure that’s sanitary. Tried it, now that question is answered so…

The cashier not only didn’t aknowledge me when I walked up after waiting turned his back on me to do something else. No smile no personality just looked unhappy to be there. I know he’s a you guy but not what I’m used to as far as service is concerned. There was another person that came back complaining about being shorted tacos. Not a good experience at all. Correction multiple people getting shorted on there order.

Tried the taco truck today for lunch. The tamales were good but we weren’t very happy with the Tortas or the tacos. One, the tacos were on the smallest corn tortilla I have ever seen and the meat in both the tacos and the Tortas tasted like reheated dry ground beef. Not very good. We had high hopes for this place and may go back to try other items but if you are hungry for tacos order six of them to not be hungry.

Ohhhh glorious taco truck, why must you be so good? I live DT Joliet so for years the truck on Collins/Cass has been my go to, not anymore. Tacos Giselle makes the choice easy. Pros: 1. Outdoor tent with hand washing station(I’m a nurse so I’m all about the hygiene) 2. A menu expanded beyond the usual taco/elote that includes burritos, torta, tamale, quesadilla, dinners, and nachos. 3. The food is fantastic, none of that fake meat here. 4. Their salsas are LIFE! 5. They accept credit/debit cards! Cons: 1. They close on weekdays at 5 :( 2. Customer service sucks.(whole truck is manned by young immature sailor mouthed kids) I don’t need to know who you slapped or what guy is trying to get with you while I’m ready to place my order and you’re just gabbing away. Other than that I will continue to come here because the food is so good. I would give five stars if service improves.

Yum. Hit the spot when I was craving some straight up authentico tacos. The price is half what el burrito charges and they are quick to serve em up. I want more. So good.

Authentic Mexican food is right! These are best little tacos in the area. They also have Burritos. Come down and give this a place a try. You will not regret it! Service with a ! Outdoor seating area covered by a tent in case it rains. They do things right.

I ordered 3 tacos and the corn on the cob. I had the steak, pork and chorizo tacos. All were delicious. The green waive was very tasty. It had a lot of flavor. The red sauce was a little spicy, but I didn’t exactly like the flavor. However, everyone has their own opinion. Each taco was delicate and small, but packed a lot of flavor in the meat. The corn was delicious. It came warm. Everything was prepared to order and very inexpensive. I’m going back.
