Their sandwiches are OK, but very expensive for what you get. On top of that, they pressure everyone into tipping, so it’s gonna cost you $ 7.50 for an egg, slice of cheese, few slices of meat, and an english muffin. There isn’t really anything special about these sandwiches and you could make the identical thing at home for $ 0.50.

Great fun quirky café. Friendly and warm. Nothing fancy but good food for the road. They made special breakfast sandwiches without a hun for my wife and me. Definitely going back.

Always get excellent burgers here. I recommend the Working(Wo)Man’s special. Burger with the fixings and fries. If you want it special they have a great variety of burgers to choose from. Be sure to tip your cooks!

Everything but the food was terrible. That said, the food was pretty delicious. When the guy took our order he said that he was slammed it might be as much as 30 minutes. Fine, we said. Then I went outside to buy gas. Not only did the Shell gas station advertising City Market rewards not accept my City Market rewards card or my Shell rewards card, it didn’t even accept my debit card as a debit card when I pushed the debit button And made me run it as credit. I’ve had no issues with this anywhere else. I bit the bullet and paid for their expensive gas without any of the advertised discounts then went inside to buy washer fluid. There were zero price tags or any price description so I picked one that seems reasonable, it rang up at $ 6.46. The cashier said«that’ll be $ 3.84» and I was like«how much?» «Oh sorry, $ 6.38,» he said.(Also the incorrect price). Again I pushed the debit button and again it rang my card as credit even though when I had ordered food a few minutes before it let me run it as debit. He told me that was«one of their cheaper bottles of washer fluid.» The worst part was yet to come. As we watched utter disarray in the kitchen I decided to ask the cook at our originally quoted 30 minute mark what the status of our order was. He pointed to the ticket closest to the end and said«you’re up next, your food is on right now.» We then watched for the next 20 minutes as person after person was handed their order before us, most of whom had placed their orders after us. I know how long it takes to cook eggs and heat up bread, cheese and meat, and I know that when I asked at 30 minutes, our orders must not have been on as I was told. It is safe to say that I will never be back here and I suggest you do the same unless you’re buddies with someone who works there.

Great place to stop some some quick, hot(and totally unhealthy) eats before hitting the slopes. Call ahead so that they have your food ready to go!

I never thought I would see a 5 star gas station but I’ve been proved wrong! I had to leave Crested Butte really early in the morning and wanted to stop and get coffee before the long drive. This was one of the only places open so we stopped here out of necessity. We were shocked to see such a full menu in a gas station. I got the McStop with my coffee and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had! Everything was fresh and cooked right in front of you. The coffee was good too. Everything was really affordable! It’s a great stop in town.

I got the breakfast Newyorker. Awesome breakfast version of this sandwich. I also found this place after everything else was closed on a Tuesday but will probably now just rely on it. Delicious!

Oh. My. Gosh. The Hurley: fried egg, cheese, bacon, and a HASHBROWN on an English muffin. Genius. Just died and went to high blood pressure heaven. Seriously though, it’s amazing & I would eat it everyday if I lived in CB. Have tried(and failed) to replicate at home.

Order ahead of time! Yes, it’s inside the shell gas station but this is not your average quick stop. We stopped to fuel up before our long drive back home only to realize that there is a great sandwich shop inside. We made the mistake of not calling ahead so we had a long wait time but it was worth the wait. I ordered the phg blt and all the toppings were fresh and everything was made to order. Cool group of guys that run that place too. 10⁄10 would eat there again.

Great burgers. Quick service. We all had the wacky burger — everybody loved it. Very affordable burger and fries and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely would eat here again.

5 stars because of the price, the food and the super friendly dudes cooking. Had the breakfast sandwich and I would say it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I recommend the Hurley because the crispy hash browns added an extra element that supercedes any normal breakfast sandwich. Go forth and enjoy!

Best breakfast sandwich ever. I get the McStop, egg, bacon and cheese on an English muffun. Sounds like no big deal, but real ingredients made fresg, and good coffee too. Fill up before skiing or mountain biking. Call your order ahead, and tip the cooks!

We couldn’t find an open breakfast place then I looked on Unilocal! You would miss this place if not paying attention. Two friendly guys making delicious sandwiches as you order. Everything was delicious. I liked mine the best. Simple McStop.

The worst hamburger I have ever been served in a restaurant. The dude who cooked it –actually it wasn’t cooked — meat raw and the cheese was not even melted — just plopped on top. I took it back and when it returned there was no cheese on it– and it was so greasy it was literally unedible. My friend order a chicken sandwich and once again the dude got it wrong — putting a salty type sauce that was so salty — could be eaten. We’ve eaten at Gas many times over the years and been pleased — but WEWILLNEVERGOBACK& anyone we talk too will no how bad it was. One star is a gift — there should be a negative star to communicate my total displeasure with this place– stick to pumping gas.

Great breakfast sandwiches. Yes it is a gas station but don’t let that deter you. I like the McStop with sausage. Call ahead to avoid having to wait. Tip: they have seating inside where you can chow down.

We stopped by on our way out of town by recommendation. I ordered the Hurley, a breakfast sandwich stuffed with a fried egg, a sausage patty, cheese and a hash brown. They also spiced it up by adding some sort of siracha concoction. Simple, yet absolutely delicious. I downed mine so fast that I even considered turning around to order another. The guys behind the counter were friendly and engaging while we were waiting. Next time I’m in Crested Butte, I will be back.

Burley and a bird flu… Great food but the wait is getting crazy when there’s a ton of people in town. Call in your order and it can still be up to a half hour before it’s ready. CB is CB, so not a complaint. If they par cooked some bacon it would speed breakfast up a ton. But best greasy breakfast and lunch in the country by far and the gas is the cheapest in CB.

Truly excellent short stop breakfasts. The Hurley, Burley and Shirley are the basics which are egg and cheese sandwiches with either ham, bacon or sausage AND a giant hashbrown potato triangle. We were only in CB for two mornings but we ate here both of them and felt like regulars before we left town.
