You would think wrecking your car might ruin a vacation but thanks to Mark’s the trip was saved! I took my mother skiing at Crested Butte and in search for a parking spot, we slid into a curb– only at about 5mph but quick enough to mess my alignment. I did my research and Unilocalers and Locals agree Mark’s is the place to go! I got my car in the shop early Monday morning, got a call that afternoon on the slopes letting me know he needed a part, that it should arrive the next morning, it should be finished by noon and even gave me the total with labor! I don’t know much about cars but considering how messed up it was, $ 180 to fix the rod seemed reasonable. The fellas at the shop are down home guys and super friendly. My mom said Steve was a little lifeless but the other mechanics were smiling and we laughed! They did leave a oil smell in my car unfortunately, but that will pass.
The only downfall with Marks is they don’t have an alignment machine so I had to go Gunnison to get that done. I was referred to a mechanic they normally use, and the guy was super rude over the phone so I chose differently! Don’t let engine trouble ruin your trip, take your car to Mark’s, hop the shuttle back to the mountain-​only two blocks from the shop– and wait for them to call you about the magic they have worked!

Our car broke down over our Labor Day vacation in Mt. Crested Butte, and we had it towed to Mark’s. They were quick to look at our car, responsive, explained the issue and welcomed my questions. Had it fixed quickly at a fair price. Great work and great service. Thank you for the positive experience that allowed us to get back home to Denver safe and sound!

I was told by Crested Butte resident Mark’s was the place to go. Diagnosed and fixed small problem quickly and honestly. The charge was reasonable, my relief palpable. Thank-​you!!!

Will never go here again… I asked for 3 things to be done and they did 1 of them … but also stated that I should have 1 more thing done… the part that I needed was $ 75 online and they charges me 2xs that amount… This place is a RIPOFF !!!
