My elderly Mother-in-law bought me a wood vase at this store when she was in CO for my 50th birthday. When she gave it to me, it contained no information about use and since I have other wood vases that are able to be used, I put flowers and water in it. Within 4 days, the vase split from the base upwards on the outside(not on the inside).I called and spoke to a clerk at the store and told her the problem and asked about using it with water. She stated that you could use it with water and she would leave a message for the owner, Scott. I was contacted by Karen on behalf of Scott who told me that there is a «sign’ in the store that states you can’t put water in this vase. I told her that this was a gift and that no note was with the vase. I also told her that mother-in-law didn’t know this either. She said that I should have known by looking at the inside of the vase??? Really? I don’t know wood products. Anyway, long story shop, they told me I could purchase a new vase but that they couldn’t replace mine. I recommended that they educate their employees and put a tag with the vase as the person buying the vase may not be the ultimate owner. This is very poor customer service. The vase wasn’t expensive but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be shopping here when I am in CO next visiting family and friends and have shared this with them. A little customer service would have gone a long way!

the owner of this store is an unethical business owner. I wouldn’t shop there or recommend it to anyone.

This place easily has THEBEST greeting card selection in the state! They have a whole room devoted to cards, and the choices range from sappy and meaningful to sick and twisted, encompassing everything in between. I went nuts there this past weekend. I have 9 card-requiring occasions coming up in the next 2 months, and now I’m covered. I bought 16 cards, and said to the owner(who was ringing me up)…do you offer a former-CB resident discount? He said, haha, you’re funny… but then proceeded to give me a free card. Very nice. Aside from the cards, they have a nice selection of tourist swag, and gag gifts, deluxe body care products, Colorado themed presents, christmas ornaments, and more. It’s upstairs from Pooh’s Corner, and easily missed, but don’t, it’s a nice shop with a GREAT card selection.

Can you believe that this store is the only store in town that has gift bags? I know Crested Butte is a small town, but even the supermarket doesn’t have any. This gift shop has some unique souvenirs, like personalized Crested Butte stuff, hand-carved bears, and cute hats, but everything is expensive! I was looking at some tiny journals for $ 20 and photo albums for $ 30, but decided I can get them for half the price anywhere else. Their motto is «If you can’t find it here, we sold it yesterday.» Now that can’t possible be true. I still can’t find my car keys, did they sell THAT yesterday? 1 star off: price 1 star off: they never had my car keys, liar
