The Club At Crested Butte

Other than the fabulous setting, views and course layout, there is little to recommend this course. When we played the course, (June 2016) the golf desk attendant warned us that the greens had just been «punched». His description that «they were still playable», no way represented the actual condition. The punch marks were huge with only about half of them filled with sand. The greens grass was left uncut and the greens were not rolled. There should have been a significant discount given and accurate description when we made our tee time.
The general condition of the course would benefit greatly from more experienced and meticulous greenskeeper. This course has lots of potential, but clearly needs better maintenance staff.
Regarding the food service, while the main kitchen was not open yet for the summer, the food that they served at the turn was inedible. The sandwich we ordered tasted like the bread had been left out uncovered for days and the hot dog they offered had been cooked on a grill days before and reheated in boiling water. As I said, inedible.
I’m a typical community course golfer looking for a reasonably good experience for the money I spend.

Beautiful Venue! Super nice staff. A guy even let my sister borrow a club for a photo op. Congratulations Thao and Alan!!! We love you guys. Bar tender needs some help though. Maybe because of the location, they don’t know much drinks. Bathroom is old.

It’s pretty nice here! Currently here for a wedding and the staff is great.
The food is awesome.
Golf carts galore.
Easy to find off Gothic.
