The Mountain Wedding Garden

My GPS wouldn’t let me check in here but I was a guest of a wedding and reception recently.
Gorgeous venue and views-​I can’t wait to see the photographers pictures.
Cons-​if you have a larger party or want to do dancing or cocktail hour you have to have all these things spread out and it is a lot of walking up and down stairs. Not suitable for someone in a walker or wheelchair.

I recently attended a wedding ceremony here and it was perfect! So beautiful! Amazing views of the Mt. Crested Butte and all the flowers! This a great setting.
As a guest, it was great. It was easy to find. It had lots of parking (and easy spots to park in). Nice views. Clean bathrooms. Places for shade. Close to the condos and the town.
If I lived in Crested Butte this would definitely be the only option for a wedding venue! It is just so gorgeous. The only downside was the amount horseflies! I got mad bug bites allover during the ceremony. And I wasn’t the only one. That was a common complaint amongst fellow guests. If you’re considering this for your wedding, keep that in mind.

Pros:
— Amazing setting/​views (words simply can’t do it justice)
— Purpose built for weddings
— Adjacent Pavilion is also available for reception (see below)
— Extremely reasonable cost for both the Garden and the Pavilion
— Super friendly Mt. Crested Butte staff
— All of the local vendors (caterers, rental equip, etc.) are familiar with facility
Cons:
— Adjacent to other park activities (tennis and playground). Fortunately, this wasn’t an issue for us.
— The adjacent pavilion is extremely spare and required *a lot* of effort to decorate and outfit for the reception
— There were some questions about electrical capacity raised by our caterer and DJ — although this also wasn’t an issue for us we did plan for the worst and had a generator at the ready.
Overall, if you are looking for an astoundingly beautiful wedding venue and are willing to take on a level of involvement to get the reception Pavilion decorated, this is an absolutely amazing place and we’d certainly recommend it!
