Oxford is the place to go if you want to get well. If you have been hurt or in pain long enough to where you have lost hope of getting better, this is the place to go. Hope is grown in this place. I’m a fairly young man, 32, but I have wrestled with back pain for 15 years. I managed it mostly during that time with visits to various chiropractors. However, in this last year, the pain was so bad, I could hardly walk. I was finally motivated to get an MRI and see a doctor(Dr. Lester Duplechan, who I also recommend), and he gave me the prognosis I was hoping to hear, «You’re MRI doesn’t look great, but with physical therapy, you should be able to improve your movement and get rid of the pain without surgery.» I was in, and ready to work. Over the course of the next 3 months, I spent my time with Oxford and Matt Ernst. When I began my treatment, my hope for being able to live the life I wanted to live was very low. But, after only 1 treatment, my hope was on the rise, and I came home and told my wife that this was going to work. And it has! It’s been work, but 3 months later, my life has drastically improved. The pain level has improved significantly. My range of motion is far better, and I’m able to do many of the things in my life that I was having to avoid before(wrestling with my 1&3 year old sons, being one of them). Matt is an artist in his work. He is professional, knowledgeable and has an air about him that is very positive and encouraging. I watched him time and time again work with his patients(including myself), listen carefully to their symptoms, empathize with them and give them the proper instructions moving forward, all while instilling a positive attitude and hope back in their life. The rest of the staff is excellent as well. All of the technicians/assistants are good at what they do, and Matt expertly steers the ship and keeps all parts moving efficiently, so you always have the attention you need with next to no wait times. As for my progress, I’m about 75% of the way to where I want to be, but I’m fully equipped to continue my rehab. On my last visit, I received a graduation shirt, which ironically, I am wearing proudly today. It was a great accomplishment for me to see the progress in my life and know that I put the work in both at home and in my office visits. Thank God, I was directed to Oxford and their expertise to help me along the way. If you are searching between different physical therapists, stop! This is the place to go to get well.
