I ordered 3 eggs scrambled w/cheese and coffee. I had a coupon for a free waffle that I asked to be toasted extra crispy. I got two eggs with cheese which in the end actually was fine because I was shocked at the bill. My waffle never made it to the table in time to enjoy with the eggs before they were cold. The server had trouble I could hear in the distance with the waffle iron and it apparently from what I heard her tell another waffle house employee took her three tries to even make a waffle. When I finally got the waffle it wasn’t cooked crispy at all, it was how they are normally and no extra crispiness to it at all. I commented she didn’t make it extra done and she asked if she could make yet another one, please note she never brought either of the first two attempts to my table, I never got the opportunity to take or decline, she just kept trying to make them and never told me a thing while I sat waiting and waiting. She said they kept sticking to the waffle iron. How hard is it to make a waffle? :(SO, I just ate it and it was fine. I never got a bill brought to my table, so I just walked up to the register without one to pay. She added up what I owed on a calculator and then said my bill was over $ 9.00 and something, hence my being fine with only the two eggs and not the three ordered that she put in the order wrong for, thank god! I told her that is crazy, it must include the free waffle? She said no, that was without the free waffle and just the two eggs scrambled with cheese and coffee. $ 9.00??? I exclaimed again, that is ridiculous! She still stood there and said yes, it is $ 9.00. I had her get out the menu and we added it up together. The menu said .90 cents for added cheese, BUT she said it was a dollar extra now for cheese and so she just added what she«said» it was, not what it said on the menu. I told her she should have at least let me know it was more for cheese, even the .90 cents, wow. My bad on the .90 cents because I never looked at the menu, I knew what I wanted, but then to tell me it’s now a dollar and that isn’t even reflected on the menu in print, not right at all and should have been only what shows on the menu. So, we add up two scrambled, cheese and coffee and it came to a bit over $ 5.00 and change. She said Oh, your right, nine was too much. You think? For the life of me I couldn’t figure out how $ 9.00 plus didn’t sound off to her at all from the get go! So all in all this was the WORST trip to Waffle House and I OFCOURSE will go back to Waffle House, I love them, I just won’t have this server again ever! I called corporate and told them about this, said I did NOT want anything free from it, just to ensure they do some extra training where it’s needed. When you have a legitimate complaint and you tell them you don’t want anything, then they KNOW there is a true issue at hand! She was nice, just not the quickest nor brightest bulb in the bunch. I was the only customer in the restaurant until maybe a few min. before I left, ten at best. I cannot imagine how she would handle dealing with the rush hour crowd. I usually have an awesome server, none were working today. So my rating isn’t reflective of EVERY visit, just this one.

This is a better Waffle House than the one by Hwy 90. The service was great and the food is good. I definitely recommend it.

Very clean, very organized, and speedy Waffle House. If you’re passing thru, go ahead and stop. You know you want to. Parking is great. No wifi. It’s a Waffle House… Surrounded by gas stations so you can refuel and stuff your face. Ok. Go!

I usually hit the other Waffle House in town and have always had a great experience(minus the freezing cold temps) but I ended up at this one today. Only 1 of the 4 servers seems to know what she’s doing, Erika, she’s been here for at least 15 years :). The problem is I got a new girl… still in training and its bad. We were noticed at the bar after 8 minutes. A table left that had been waiting and never served… I’m guessing that they were unprepared for how busy they would be this close to the 4th of July on Wednesday… The cook seems to know his stuff but today the entire staff seems to be in a bad mood. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt because I have been to this location before and had good service. The food was good, my spouse’s order was incorrect but we did have the new girl so I am guessing she called it out incorrectly. Oh well… I will review once I come back and try it again. It may be a year down the road.

What’s not to love about the Waffle House? When I’m craving breakfast, especially for dinner, I usually call in an order here. The only thing that I just can’t understand, and have a slight problem with, is why they just refuse to scramble eggs in the traditional way. You know, so they’re light and fluffy. They scramble the eggs in a bowl, then dump the contents into a little skillet where it sits until it basically cooks up(hardens). Then the cook will take a fork and chop the cooked egg up, put it on a plate, and call it scrambled eggs. Um, no, that’s not how it’s done. There is more to scrambling eggs than just what you do in the bowl prior to cooking them. But anyway, outside of that, everything’s been great here.
