I don’t get over this way as much as I used to, however, food is good and the restaurant is staffed by local people who’ve worked here a long time. This makes for a friendly, pleasant atmosphere.

Great portions, good food! After a round of golf with the fellas in 80 degree heat we decided to try the local fare. No disappointments here! Wings were fried just right and the burgers and corned beef hit the spot!

I gave Jason’s 3 stars because the esthetics/environment wasn’t the greatest but the food was good. I would go back on a Thursday night especially for the hot wings special because they were great!

Great place to get a beer and a burger. Sports always on the TV, and nice separation between the bar and the restaurant. Very generous portions and friendly staff. Regular crowd can be intimidating, and the staff certainly favors them, but they’re not rowdy. Don’t let the dive appearance fool you, this place is quality.

Stopped in for lunch with a few buddies after teaching a class. Beer was cold and the service was friendly. I can’t speak to anyone else’s meal, but the eggplant parmigiana sandwich and fries was ok. It was a little greasy, but had decent flavor. I might not make a special trip to go back, but if I found myself in need of a sandwich and beer one weekend in Crete, if probably stop back in.

This is a local place, a place to go to watch a game, especially a black hawk game. I was brought here by a friend and it’s his bar, 5 miles from his house, but this is a fairly rural part of Illinois, an hour outside of Chicago. Crete itself is a small, one or two traffic light town, and Jason’s Pub is one of a couple of places in the downtown square. It’s in a older non-descripted building, with a long bar area, and an adjoining restaurant space. It is more of a bar than a restaurant. The wait staff is also the bartender, at least when we were there. Everyone in the place was friendly. The food is bar food, finger food, burgers, sandwiches and a limit number of entrees. The soup was good and hearty. The turkey Reuben was fine. Everyone liked their food. Ultimately, this is a small neighborhood bar that is welcoming to all, with friendly people.

Well I was in town playing golf with the guys. Needed to find a place to get a bite to eat. Checked Unilocal and this place seemed to fit the bill. We even got to meet olé Jim the owner, he was sitting down at the end of the bar. Our bartender was great too, she made a good drink, and service was awesome. Food was very nice, Shrimp, Ruben sandwich, and even the Quesadillas where good, and I’m from Texas. Great choice and would go again. Thanks for making our visit awesome! Its defiantly a five star bar joint!

This review is long overdue! I love their homemade soup! I will travel if need be for the soup alone! I probably order here once or twice a week! The food is worth it, especially their fried chicken which comes with soup and side! Bonus!
