I grew up in an Italian neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, so I’m used to thin crust pizza, which is actually the way pizza was originally made. That being said, when my husband and I stopped in on a trip to St. Louis, I read the reviews and we decided to stop in. The sauce is very good. The crust is good though I’m used to it being a little less crunchy. The toppings(we had the Bob’s Deluxe) were plentiful and fresh. Overall, it was a very good pizza. If I were to change anything, I would add a sprinkling of cheese on top to seal in the toppings. We enjoyed it!

I have shopped at this Dierbergs for more than 30 years and spent thousands and thousands of dollars there. Today, my housekeeper, who has been shopping for me every Thursday for at least 4 years was embarrassed and treated as a common criminal when she presented my signed check for my groceries. Actually an incident occurred a while ago, when the stockers had placed a pack of Smart Water too high and when I tried to get it down(no one around to help me) struck me on the head. I instantly felt dizzy and nauseous. The paramedics were called to take me to the hospital. I could have sued them, and looking back, I should have! There are other stores from which to purchase groceries, and I will never frequent that store again! I spoke with Jim Hezel, evidently one of the store managers, and although I have spoken with him before denied knowing me. Most everyone there knows both my housekeeper and me. Really! Their loss!

High prices but good selection of food and good quality. They sell my favorite deep dish pizza(The Dish). They are the only supermarket in the area that sells it to my knowledge. It keeps me coming back. Please don’t stop selling it!

One of my favorite places to stop after work. The food selection is always fresh and good. Their prices are somewhat steep for what you get. One of the best things I like about this place that it is never really busy so I can get in and out fairly quickly. I do like their fresh seafood selection that comes in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So if you’re looking for fresh fish make sure you go there either on a Tuesday or Thursday. Even better, they will bake it for you while you shop which is convenient. It saves time on a busy day.

This is one of my favorite Dierberg’s locations. Always clean and bright. Managers are seen on the floor and employees greet you in the isles. Staff goes out of their way at this Dierbergs to help you find what you are looking for. Produce, Meat, and Seafood departments always have fresh, quality items. Also beautiful floral department with it’s own entrance. Stop by soon!

Really like this Dierbergs as the staff are always very friendly and ready to help. Even when I phone them up to ask if they carry something in store, I always get to speak to someone that is knowledgeable and curteous on the phone. Wish they would get a new supplier for their cheesecakes as they suck

I definitely like this grocery store. The location is great because its in a shopping center that has a ton of variety of places to shop at. Dierbergs itself I think is pricey but they have some great features that make me want to shop there. I really like the salad bar selection they have and being someone who likes free stuff, I really enjoyed the free coffee tastings. Gotta love that! Next to the coffee they had some magazines and it look like they offer a multitude of things to the community which I admire.; things such as cooking classes and they had some free recipes in different departments which I love because I enjoy trying to cook new foods. The people that work there that I came across were very nice and professional and the store was well stocked, organized and clean. My only really bad thing that I didn’t like was the price. They do stem on the higher side of the grocery store margin but with some patience you can find some good deals. It is one of those things that you have to search for a good deal and that is something I don’t mind doing sometimes. I would definitely go back but I don’t see myself making this my regular grocery store. It would be a once in awhile kind of a place.

This Dierberg’s in Heritage Place is close to my dentist, hairdresser, and many of my doctors just across the street at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital and its physician office buildings. I needed breakfast casserole ingredients yesterday after a hair appointment, and Friday people at work were talking about Bob’s Barbeque featured at Dierberg’s — wondering what it was all about. I went in loaded for bear! Bob’s Barbeque is in the deli by the hot foods. I got a whole chicken, a pound of brisket and a slab of ribs. Also available are pulled pork, pulled chicken and salmon. For lunch, I got two oven-fried chicken thighs, which have 23% less fat than the regular fried chicken. Looking at both types of chicken in the heat area, I couldn’t tell one from the other. You could get a «plate,» which includes two sides and a roll. The sides looked great: green beans, baked beans, Texas potatoes, macaroni and cheese — there were others I can’t remember. Plates were available with Bob’s Barbeque as well as the Dierberg’s chicken options. The woman who helped me went above and beyond wrapping all the barbeque containers in plastic wrap, so no leaks would occur. And she went into the back to find me a slab of ribs that was hot, and they were just off the grill! Further, she gave me barbeque sauce on the side in containers, so it would be optional to use. The barbeque is already treated with rub, so I’m usually good with that — no sauce required. My son and I devoured the slab of ribs — standing up in the kitchen. They were lucious. And I did use a bit of the barbeque sauce. I got regular. They also had spicy. The chicken was juicy and tasty. The brisket was hearty and delicious. So, Bob’s Barbeque is a winner in my book. Oh, yeah, the oven-fried chicken was juicy, tender and oh-so tasty!

Dierbergs in any location is usually a great shopping experience, but I love this location. Close to home, the people are overly friendly and the produce section is also stocked. I appreciate shiny red apples, juicy plums and a variety of leafy greens!
