Larry’s Driftwood Pizza

Love this pizza. Same or nearly the same recipe as Davis Brothers Pizza in East Peoria. Cracker thin, super crisp crust, delicious sauce, perfect blend of cheeses. Definitely a bar atmosphere but the pizza is just amazing. I’ve it a try!

Best pizza ever. Period. This place is a mandatory stop whenever I visit family in Creve Coeur. I’ve been there at least three dozen times over the last few years. Service has always been fabulous even though they are packed most nights. I have found that being a good customer gets good service. Thanks for the great food and great memories!

About 40 years ago my father took me to a pizza tavern in East Peoria. It was a place he and my mom went to in the 1950s, and about 20 years later he learned it was still open. According to him, the pizza was the same, and whenever we visited relatives in the area we went there. The business under that name still exists, and having eaten at both that place and Larry’s, Larry’s is closer to what I ate for most of these 40 years, and according to my father, it’s closer to the original from the 1950s. It’s still his and my favorite pizza, anywhere. I’ve driven 500 miles to visit family, for a couple days, and eat pizza from Larry’s almost every day.
The thin, cracker-​like crust, perfect amount of sauce, white and yellow cheese, green pepper and onions, and sausage, makes a perfect pizza in my mind. Cover it with grated Parmesan and Frank’s Red Hot, and it’s heaven.

Horrible pizza, small and not very good especially for an almost $ 20 large. I can cook a Jack’s or Tombstone at home for way less and they have more flavor!

This pizza is like no other. Thin.thin.thin. great taste. I would drive 100 miles for this pizza. Bar atmosphere but food great.

It should get 2.5 stars but it isn’t an option. I have given this place a fair shake. Been there 3 times, but I don’t get it. It is just ok, wouldn’t recommend it.

Great pizza, but if you bring several people kind of expensive. We like the supreme and the shrimp pizza. Both taste excellent. Great relaxed atmosphere.
