Great food! If you like spicy their homemade hot mustard is great, but eat with caution very hot.

First visit was good… Second was not. Orange chicken over cooked. Will not go back.

The food is decent for a little Chinese place in Crittenden. I’ve had the Crab Ragoon, Orange chicken, sesame chicken, and Kung Pao chicken; which all tasted good enough that we order from here more than a few times a year. The dinner portions are good size and come with fried or steamed rice and an egg roll; the prices are just right for the portion sizes. I’ve been inside to pick up the order and it looks clean and the staff are very friendly but I usually order online and pick up through drive thru, which I love for the convenience.

Love the sesame chicken here. Good size portions and nice staff. The lobby and dining area are clean and updated. Call ahead and pick up at drive thru rarely takes more than 10 minutes.
I have been here at least 50 times and they are very consistent in food quality.

Egg-​foo-​hung as a carryout was burned to a crisp. Should never been put in the container but of course didn’t see it til I got home. Called to complain and the smartass on the other end of the phone hung up on me. Haven’t been back and now take my business the the China Moon in Walton next to Kroger. The food is better !!

I have to hand it to this place. I’ve finally found good Chinese food in Grant County! I was a little concerned when I first walked in. The place is tiny as it is, and they had a giant ladder taking up about ¹⁄₅^th the floor space fixing some lighting. The guy working behind the counter quickly came over with a menu though after letting me know I could sit wherever. Their menu is standard Chinese fair, but it’s a large and expansive menu. They don’t have any duck, but in their defense, a lot of Chinese places around here don’t do duck anymore. I was hungry as hell, and needed a lot of food stat. That’s why even though it was lunch time, I ordered the dinner combination General Tso’s Chicken, which came with fried rice and an egg roll. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The egg roll was delicious and you can tell that it was fresh out of the fryer, and was handmade. The filling was tasty, and the exterior was super crunchy. It went well dipped in the General Tso’s sauce. The chicken itself was very crispy, not soggy, and stood up well to the sauce, which was packed with whole and crushed chilies. The spice was just perfect, not too hot, but not weak either. The fried rice was standard, but was good too. The price was right as well, the whole meal with water was just over $ 7! I’ll definitely be coming back here, especially for take out.

This restaurant is always clean. They offer eat-​in or carryout (drive-​up window) options. My husband LOVES the Hot & Sour soup (and thanks to the ARMY he has eaten Chinese food in tons of different places). Most of their food is good. I gave this restaurant a 4 because I have eaten beef meals from here twice and was not able eat the meat because it was tough; however, for the most part the food is good & authentic. Of course there are things I would change, but for the convenience and the price we will continue to return. There is another Chinese restaurant in Walton (we are between Walton & Crittenden) and this restaurant is far superior.

This is a small place with some artsy décor and good chinese food. We love everything we try. The fried crab rangoons are always a favorite. Their chicken and broccoli any way you want it is great. They have large size portions and reasonable prices. They get the food out to you pretty quick too.

China Castle has the best crab rangoon I’ve ever had because its not sweet. I love their chicken and broccoli, and shrimp rice noodles. The mongolian beef and orange chicken are also excellent. I’ve heard that the owner was actually formally trained. Their steamed dishes are great too. I love the sauce that comes with the steamed chicken and broccoli. While P.F. Chang’s is my favorite, China Castle is my favorite Chinese restaurant of convenience in Northern Ky. If you ask them, you can get things more mild or spicy. They’re actually very flexible if you just talk to them.

I’m torn between three and four stars for this review. I would definitely go back, but more out of necessity (it’s the only Chinese restaurant in Crittenden) than because I’m a fan of this place in particular.
I tried the Crab Rangoon as recommended in a previous review, and I wasn’t impressed — they seemed to be right out of the fryer, but they included an insubstantial amount of cream cheese… which is the main ingredient. They’re passable, but definitely nothing to rave about at $ 2.99 for an order of 6.
As mentioned in another review, the portions are huge. You have the option of getting a dinner combo, which comes with rice and an egg roll, or you can forgo the egg roll, and get a little extra meat and rice. Either way, you end up with a heaping plate of meat — I didn’t even come close to finishing it in one sitting.
I got the General Tso’s Chicken, which came out hot and spicy. The chicken was prepared well, but it was very plain — basically just the chicken doused in sauce with a couple of broccoli florets as a garnish of sorts. My girlfriend had the Orange Chicken, which was basically the same as mine (but of course had the sweet orange chili sauce instead of the vinegar-​based soy sauce used in General Tso’s). Both dishes were priced in the $ 7-​$ 9 range.
I like soft drinks, so I liked it that the glasses here are huge and refills plentiful. Also, at $ 1.30 for a soft drink with free refills, they’re a better deal than any sit-​down restaurant I can think of.
The décor is quite pleasant — the restaurant is in a small shopping center, but thick curtains on the windows allow it to have its own ambiance. It’s very small — there are only seven tables, and the place was about half-​full while we were there with a few phone-​in orders picked up at the drive-​thru window. This is the first Chinese restaurant I’ve ever seen that had a drive-​thru. Interesting concept, and it seemed to work well.
The staff was easy-​going, but attentive. Our waiter seemed to be responsible for the entire dining area and the drive-​thru window, but he handled it pretty well.
All told, they make a great effort, and I’m excited to see a Chinese place in Crittenden… but the food itself is not something I’ll probably find myself craving. It’s not bad — in fact, there’s nothing wrong with it at all… it’s just very simple. And after some reflection — that’s probably a smart move by them. In a county with an Asian population of close to zero, plain, über-​Americanized Chinese food is what this place is going to have to produce in order to survive. I’ll be back — but this won’t be replacing Shanghai Mama’s in downtown Cincinnati as my favorite Chinese place in the region.
