Dr Kates and the PA Mr Brown seem pretty competent, however getting involved with this practice’s finance office is like borrowing money from a loan shark. Before we’d even received a final statement from Blue Cross, Dr Kates’ office charged us a $ 10 finance charge. And since that bill came when we were on vacation, we missed it and were hit with another $ 10 finance charge within weeks. So far, $ 20 in finance charges for a $ 26 bill. Hmmm… No matter how competent the doctors may be, the finance office is vicious and avaricious. AND, they just tacked on another $ 2.39 for a bill dating from 2011! Blue Cross apparently has trouble contracting dermatologists.

WOW — what a change. I decided to bring my son here to get some warts removed and after 10 appts (getting him out of school, missing work, driving to the office) where all they put on them was «beetle juice» the doc gave up and gave me some to take home. The warts never went away. Each appt was less then 5 mins. But I hadn’t gotten a bill so I figured they were doing it as a courtesy after paying for the first time. Its now a year later and I get a bill every other month for $ 25. They were charging $ 155 to my insurance for this! I took my son to his pediatrician and he told me to get some compound W and use it. Worked like a charm and the warts are all gone. WHAT A RIP OFF! Horrible people to take advantage like that!

This office is only concerned with money! I received my bill, paid it in FULL in 22 days. They sent out a 2nd bill only 10 days after the first bill, with a FINANCE CHARGE of $ 10. I have NEVER had a doctor bill like this in my life. I paid the bill within 30 days, and here they send out a 2nd bill so quicky and with an additional fee??? They don’t even give you time to look over your EOB to compare and make sure everything is ok. I will never go back there again. Greedy. That is how I describe this service. Who bills this way? It’s absurd. Credit card companies don’t even do this. There are plenty of other dermatologists to choose from out there. Pick someone else.
