I went for my moms birthday dinner and It was a pretty average place. The portion sizes were huge, this may seem like a good thing but it’s not when the food doesn’t taste good. The food was very bland, my family did not enjoy their food so we had to stop at ihop afterwards. The best thing about the diner was the chocolate milkshake I had and that’s about it.

We stopped here on the way to the airport. I had the Tuscany panini with onion rings and it was a lot of food. I was able to take half of each on the 4.5 flight, which I enjoyed later. My daughter and her boyfriend had the corned beef hash and eggs. They said it was great. The service was good and the diner was clean.

Ordered swordfish and it was spoiled, rotten, not fresh at all. Sent it back to the manager and he took 5 dollars off the 20 dollar dish. We should have gotten it free. Service took 30 minutes just to bring me a box for dessert so we could leave. Not going here again.

I thought that Nautilus was going to be my thing… Instead I got severely heartbroken… You know that feeling when you are driving somewhere all by yourself all hungry for miles and then you bump into an eatery where you think: «Man there is no way this is not going to be awesome.» And then in the end, it sinks in… «This was sooo not awesome.» That was me both upon entering and then leaving Nautilus. I was on an errand near Crofton and found myself in the need to wait for a prolonged period of time. This annoyed me so I drove around for a while looking for a place to grab some grub and veg out for a while. So when I saw the Nautilus, I felt that it was the perfect thing for me. Diner setting, countryside, authentic Maryland goodies — So where does it all go wrong? The menu is gigantic and desperate — seriously what in blazes is not on this menu? It took me a while to sift page-after-page for something. I decided to go old fashion and try a T-bone steak, eggs, and potatoes. Sweet right? Wrong. The steak was rubbery and tasteless — frozen to the core with very little seasoning. The potato’s were painfully bland and greasy and the eggs were slimy. Even the coffee creamers were old coagulated. F*cking disgusting. I ate what I could even though virtually everything was teetering on inedible and quickly got out of there. I should have kept driving earlier — the tell all signs were on Unilocal

I’ve been to the Nautilus a few times now and have been impressed each time. This is not your typical diner at a truck stop or right of the interstate. The Nautilus is a contemporary appointed diner, with a professional staff, and pretty good food. I was surprised at the number of items on the menu though — there must be over 200 hundred items. I understand the appeal of a diner, where you can go and eat anything you can think of. However, if this was my business I would trim the menu by 60% and focus on the quality. That seems like a lot of trimming, but there would still be a hundred or more items on the menu. Many other remarks on Unilocal about The Nautilus have been on the quality of the food. I have never had a bad thing here, but I normally just stick to the basic breakfast items at places like this. I have had fruit topped pancakes, and two different omelets the times I have eaten here. My family has tried different items with no complaints. The staff is all dressed in black tie or black dress. That made a big impression on me when I first went there. The location is a little strange as it sits down a hill off the side of Route 3. Someone else commented about the Mafia owning this restaurant. That was a joke of course, but I don’t get that feeling when I am eating there — and I’m not Italian either! I’ve never thought it was too loud in the restaurant as another person commented, although it stays busy on the weekends. Go try the place out if you have never been there.

A clean, large, modern diner. Noisy, screaming kids all around, as you’d expect in a diner. It would be great if they would seat adult parties away from families with children, but that would be grossly unfair to the poor waiters who get stuck with family tables. Gets busy on the weekends after 10:30am. You’ll wait in line just to pay your check and get out. As for the food, plates seem to come out of the kitchen quick, but isn’t particularly tasty or fresh — just decent, passable diner food. Our waiter never came back to offer refills, which I find unacceptable. He only came by to drop off the check after 30 minutes. My advice to the management: if you’re going to let your wait staff ignore tables for 30 minutes at a time, buy some larger drink glasses.

I liked the food here. I’ll definitely be back, and the manager was nice. Nice menu selection– breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms. Yum!

Besides the fact that this place is DEFINITELY owned by the italian mafia, this place is ok. They deff have a huge variety of food. But ya get what you pay for. Quality is mediocre. HUGE portions, which concern me a bit, i wonder why, hmmmm. But i will say they have good desserts. I will go back for there cheesecake! :)

Met a group for lunch. I stood alone waiting to be seated for several minutes without acknowledgement. As soon as another patron joined me a server rushed over and asked how she could help me(.?) Our table server dutiful, the service exceptionally slow. The portion sizes were huge, and the quality of the food was good for the amount of food served. The diner building and location were good.

While the food generally pleased the people I was with, it disappointed me. Eggplant parm was 98% breading and cheap flavorless cheese. Salad was mediocre. To top it off, it caused a bout of food poisoning for me, worse then mild nausea. I won’t be back.

The food didn’t impress me all too much. I was craving cheesecake and I ordered the chocolate dipped cheese cake. It was a little much chocolate for me. The staff seemed friendly though. They were open on Christmas Eve until 1:00 am, so it was fairly convenient for the late night munchies.

This place is amazing! The food was wonderful. They have a VERY large menu while something for just about anyone. After soup and appetizers, my husband and I agreed we would soon return. When we got our meal it was so much more than I expected. It was the same thing I would get at Olive Garden for about the same price but, had about 3x the amount of food! And of course, after staring at the deserts for the whole meal, I had to leave with a delicious chocolate moose cake! I will be back!

The Nautilus Diner was so-so and expensive for such a diner. My husband and I get there for dinner and we were aww’ing how it looked like an old-fashioned diner. Much to our surprise, the diner was practically empty and it is right next to busy traffic. I had the chicken fried steak and it did not taste good. There must have been something in the breading that was off-putting. My husband had the French dip and, man, I should have had that. It was awesome! Our waitress was friendly despite the slow service. We just did not think for the amount we paid for our dinner that it was worth it. On the way out, the managers(owners?) were smoking cigarettes outside right by the entrance door. They were courteous by opening the door but then we had to walk through the smoke. Like, really!!! Isn’t there a back door?

2 words: Baklava Cheesecake Mind. Blown. I’m partaking in this deliciousness as we speak and there are no words… I’ve been on another occasion for breakfast and it wasn’t memorable. Not bad, but not spectacular. This cheesecake though… This deserves all 5 of those stars. Try it!

Sorry. I don’t agree with most of you and I’m a foodie. This place was great. Ordered the chicken soulvaki with fries. Very rarely is food served hot and fresh, well… it was certainly a relief that good diners like this place still exist! I thought the chicken was well cooked and had plenty of flavor. Who cares if the food is more expensive… if you want cheap, head to McDonald’s. If you are coming here and ordering off the greek menu, you have no one to blame but yourself. It’s a diner!

Althought, service was not bad, breakfast was meh, to say the least. With so many good choices for a good breakfast, I’m sure I won’t be back.

I had the French dip burger and it was very delicious! If your a stickler for melted cheese like I am, be sure to ask for the Swiss cheese to be fully melted. I was honestly completely satisfied and would return for this meal again. I took off one star because my husband ordered a side of sweet potato fries and the first batch was very undercooked. We had to wait for a second order to come back to the table and the regular fries were very bland and tasteless. I will say the lemon slices here are huge! I typically order lemon slices for my water and I was greatly impressed with the juice and flesh of the lemons. Hopefully they weren’t gmo :-/
