Moved to the area. Tried this spot hoping for some decent Italian food. Tried the pizza first, and was sadly disappointed. Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. So I thought I would give it a second chance thinking maybe they just don’t make a good pizza. Tried their lasagna this time and actually ended up throwing it away. Not sure how they stay in business. I really wish this place was good. It’s as great location right in the center of town

So my family is keen on this place because the food is phenomenal; service is a bit questionable except for one of the waitresses they call Bucci. She’s phenomenal! The younger staff really don’t get the point of service though. The food is great and portions are large and price is reasonable. My one question is how do they stay in business? I think they have some faithful customers(including myself/family) but every time we go in here it’s empty.

My wife and I went here about 2:00 p.m. There were no other diners. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress brought our menus and took our drink order promptly. We were allowed ample time to decide our food order. Our salads came out shortly after and we were pleasantly surprised by the size and contents. We had a few different kinds lettuce, mostly iceberg but I like it. There were red bell peppers, cucumber, black olives, and carrots. We both had the house dressing which was an Italian style and tasty. My wife had the calzone with mushrooms. It was huge and well stuffed. It came with a side of the house tomato sauce. She loved it and could only finish half. I had the lunch special, chicken parmesan. It was smothered in cheese, crispy and full of Italian flavor. It was served over a large plate full of ziti and that wonderful house sauce. I eagerly sopped up every drop with the bread served with the meal. It was a short round loaf only about an inch high but was hot, soft and had a mild Italian flavor. The service was good and friendly enough. Our waitress was attentive enough but not a pest, leaving us alone to enjoy our meal in peace. We will be back again to try the dinners.

I’ve been coming here for almost a year and every time I go I never get a smile or any kind of courteous service. The food is outrageously over priced. I went there a few weeks ago and the pizza tasted like play-doh. I literally mean play-doh. My 2 year old son didn’t even eat it: a child that loves his pizza! We called to see if we could get a refund or exchange and the girl said too bad. Then the older lady in the background said«too bad they already took it.» The worst part was that I paid $ 17 for the worst tasting one topping pizza I’ve ever had.

This place is a hidden gem in Cromwell. While the dining room definitely needs a makeover, they know their food, cook it well, and serve you plenty. Their pasta, chicken parm, grinders and wraps are to die for. The bread is amazing, like the best restaurant bread ever, so make sure you get some. If you’re looking for an upscale dining establishment with $ 500 light fixtures and custom designer booths, this place is not for you. If you want a delicious, HUGE portion of amazing food — then you won’t be disappointed.

Their food is really good and priced fairly. I eat here at least two or three times per month mostly for lunch. I can say with certainty that I’ve never had a bad meal. The hidden secret here are the burgers! People talk about Plan B for burgers, do yourself a favor… Save the hour you would wait to be seated at Plan B, drive to Cromwell, and get an ABC burger. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and the food has been delicious! The free bread before your meal is to die for. I’ve eaten their pizza and I’ve tried pasta dishes. You won’t be disappointed with either. Like the other reviewer mentioned, the service is good but lacks energy. It’s a small, family run place so they are probably just exhausted by the time I go in there for dinner. And the décor… leaves a bit to be desired. All in all, it’s a great deal for the price. I would rather eat great food in a restaurant lacking in ambiance than eat crappy food in a place that looks wonderful.

I live within walking distance of ABC, and it’s a really great place to walk to and grab a pizza to take over the park. The pizza is very good, with a lot of varieties. And the prices… you can’t beat the prices. Every time I go there, there is some deal or coupon. Sometimes, I can get a large pizza for under $ 10. If you’re dining in, the food is really good for classic Italian — lasagna or manicotti — with salad and bread. And did I mention, the prices are a steal! The one area where they really need to improve is the décor on the inside of the restaurant. It looks like it has not been renovated in about 25 years. Some of the details are off a bit… the signs on the outside are hand written and usually have some type of misspelling. There are signs advertising seafood… I’m not really sure who goes to ABC Pizza for seafood, but I I’ll go elsewhere for my scallops. A little focus, a revamped interior and some good marketing would go a long way. The service is efficient but does not have a lot of energy to it. But I can tell the family works really hard, and I’ve never had to wait! Overall, I really like ABC. I can walk down the street and get really good pizza and support a local business.
