Cromwell Diner

Good diner. Just wished they were open late. Nice pulled pork mac and cheese. Service is always good, even when busy.

Been here several times for breakfast or dinner and its good diner food, may have to repeat specifics to the waiters a coupla times as they are mostly foreigners now and sometimes get it wrong.

Wonderful food & courteous service. I have been here many times and it is consistently good.

So I’ve been here quite a few times. And every time I have gone has been pretty decent, except this time we went was straight up awful. And it wasn’t just the service or the food that was awful, it was the management as well. As a business owner I know for a fact that it should be a priority to at least make an agreement with the customer. Not only was the manager rude, belittling and arrogantly, he had no business being in customer service. The food is usually pretty good but this time my burger was cold, my home fries were undercooked and raw in the middle. And my girlfriends Mac n cheese was also cold. The waitress didn’t really care that the food was sucky and it took 30 minutes to be seated and 45 minutes to get our food. People sat down after us rather fast and got there food way before us even though they ordered a good 20 minutes after us. And after we were done eating. We were informed that we can’t split the check because it causes a line back up while paying. Which is ridiculous, and actually not legal. The manager told us it was our jobs to figure out how to split the check. He really has no business being in customer service. I likely will not be returning.

I have been here a few times with my boyfriend and we have never had a problem ESP when it’s busy we have gotten our food at a decent waiting time and it has been good. Over the weekend we went out with another couple and we waited 30+ minutes to be seated, we then waited 10 minutes for a waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink and eat. We waited a long time for our food, people who were seated 15 minutes after us were given their food before us. When we got our food it was so cold and gross it didn’t taste good what so ever. We wanted the check split since it was my boyfriend and I and another couple, we were told they can’t split the checks on the weekends. We had told the manager we waited long for our food and it was cold and he didn’t even care and just went on about how he can’t split the check on the weekend.

Annoying that they don’t offer the whole menu for takeout but even worse they are now limiting the side dish choices that you get with your dinner so it is even less than what is shown on the takeout menu! Some of us can’t eat certain things for health or diet reasons so this is very unaccommodating. I’m sure it makes their lives easier but what about the paying customers?

Lunch –Food was mediocre — A large (not new) disgusting stain on wall above the front door from a leak– very distracting. The Host provided no greeting just asked how many and led to table. The waitress never smiled, took order, returned with food and asked if we needed anything else, ignored the request for «more coffee», gave us the bill and said «have a good afternoon» without feeling. The bright spot was the cashier who actually smiled and said thank you. This young man should be managing the unfriendly staff.

Sadly the last two times I’ve come to eat the service and food have declined in my opinion. The very last time my waitress either was new or completely frazzled by the amount of clients because she got my order wrong and while I understand a simple mistake on top of the error the wait time was unreasonable especially for a little hungry child. I ordered a chicken club which was okay at least the fries seemed fresh and when my son’s food finally came I don’t know if he thought it was good for simply gobbled it down because he was starving. I think I’m going to call it quits from frequenting this restaurant RIP the few times we enjoyed are over :/

pretty good salad and soup! friendly service!

This is a solid diner, especially when it comes to breakfast. The corned beef hash here is totally fresh and home-​made. The best I’ve ever had!
Service is always on point and there’s plenty of seating. Pricing is average. Décor is a bit bland and I noticed dark patches on the wall, but overall it’s a nice little spot to hit if you are in the area.

do not eat there, they discriminate against handicap people. … i went there on monday night november 30 2015 and the manager (a small grey haired indian man) refused to serve me even after i showed him the letter from my dr. … how disturbing in this day and age… i have eaten there before my disability, and now i would never eat there again. .
i hope that people do not give them there business, spend your money somewhere they do not discriminate against handicap people. …

Stopped on our way north to Boston at about 1900. Great service and food. Our waitress was the epitome of a diner waitress: attentive, quick-​witted, and friendly. In and out in 40 min with 2 kids. This was a score!

Surprisingly delicious! I had an egg white omelette with spinach, tomato & avocado with a side of black beans and grits. We ordered a side of the homemade corned beef hash and it was everything we hoped it would be. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful diner just off the 91 highway. The parking lot is massive, Upon entering there is a very helpful hostess. I have ordered to go many times, in the morning and evening hours: the omelettes are huge and made with fresh ingredients, I always get egg whites, grilled chicken, hash browns and wheat toast, with a side of turkey bacon. The chicken and turkey bacon are prepared perfectly and are never over done or burnt. The lighting and seating are above average. This a very clean diner with clean restrooms. The prices provide a great value for the size of your order. I am very impressed with the quality of their to go containers!

Very disappointing visit, waiters were very inattentive. I had to wait a few minutes to wave down a waiter for water. Food was mediocre. My chicken tenders were way too fried.

Ahhh — good ol’ Cromwell dinner, its a staple to say the least. They offer dinner food and are pretty friendly, what else can you ask for?

A solid local diner with decent service.

A solid diner right in my backyard. Can’t beat that! They offer the typical diner fare but the breakfast menu is everything. I’m a big fan of the chocolate chip pancakes, avocado BLT, and the eggs Benedict. I also love their daily specials which are delish and wallet-​friendly. Service is prompt and with a smile. Their new hours are awesome, 7 days a week from 7am — 11pm. And best of all they are right around the corner.
It’s a winner!

The food was a bit bland, but I am comparing the staples that we got against some of the best. We had a chicken and rice soup, Rachel sandwich (Reuben with coleslaw instead of sour kraut) and a turkey melt.
What was superb is the cleanliness of a diner and the speed with which the food came.
Definitely a good and fast pit stop spot on a way between Philly and Boston.

One of the best diners I have ever been to. Food is delicious, came out fast, server Lynn was sweet! Doesn’t smell like a diner!
Omelets were $ 5.99 for three items… definitely veryyy reasonable!
We will be back for sure :)
