Pizzas, grinders, you name it! They got it all and it is all good! Got hooked on this place past year. The BBQ Chicken pizza is delicious, and their garlic knots are to die for. They use a kind of creamy cheese sauce on top of the knots that just make them so much better than any other! Always nice people, good service!

Unimaginative food. Greek salad was small with limited toppings. No stuffed grape leaves, minimal feta. Meah. We love thin crust pizza. Unfortunatley the toppings were so thin, the thin crust was still overpowering. We ordered the meat lovers pizza. The wings were fine. The bbq topping was Frank’s Red Hot. I can make this at home. Overall, I would pass on Ken and Barb’s. There are too many other great pizza places in Cromwell.

Nice selection of slices for the lunch rush. The bbq chicken was the highlight for me, with a great bbq sauce, bacon, onions, and chicken that was not dried out at all. But, the pepperoni slice was just average, and the buffalo chicken was a bit of a letdown — it had plenty of blue cheese, but no heat. The crust was tough and chewy. Overall they don’t quite match up with Michelangelo’s or Cromwell Pizza & Pasta. Having said that they do have some good lunch specials, I believe it was 2 slices & a soda for around $ 5.50.

Based off one visit, Ken and Barbs seems like an overall quality establishment. The inside is very organized and clean and they have all kinds of fresh pizzas lining the counter that you walk past to get to the register. They look awesome and make you even hungrier before you order, great marketing if you ask me. I got a calzone and it was way bigger than I expected, most people probably won’t be able to finish one whole in a sitting which is good. I thought it was cool how they cut a hole out of the box to hold the soup cup of marinara sauce making it easy to carry all in one, it’s the little things like this that I appreciate. I got the feeling that Ken goes out of his way to interact with all his customers and make them feel welcome and ensure they’re satisfied, he’s a funny guy. I’ve been looking for a go to pizza place in Cromwell which I’m yet to find, so based off the reviews I gotta try Ken and Barbs pizza. Could be my new spot.

I work out of town and live by Unilocal reviews. I had the meatball grinder and it was definitely worth the drive. I drove past probably a dozen other pizza places to get here. The meatballs are homemade and the bread was very good. I had a slice of pizza while waiting for my grinder and the pizza was exactly how I like it, thin crust. Good thin crust is hard to find and this place nailed it. You can definitely tell that they use fresh ingredients. Plus they have free wifi and charging stations at the high tables. A great little place to grab a bite to eat.

Pizza was very good, house salad was very fresh. Garlic knots had great flavor although dense in the middle and slightly underdone. I really enjoyed the homemade salad dressing. Staff was super friendly and wanted to ensure I was happy with the way my pizza looked before I left. Overall a positive 360 experience. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu. I recommend you to it.

I decided to go to ken and barbs as a last resort because we were having a family party at our house. The pizza was absolutely flavorless, I don’t understand where all these 5 star reviews are coming from, the only thing I can think of is employees and the owners friends. Bottom line is if you are looking for quality food, this is not the place. You’re better off with dominos!

Really awesome little layout. Remembered this place from college when they were in west Hartford area. Found this place after going around many pizza joints in rocky hill area. Disappointed until now! So glad we found them! Cute little place, mostly takeout but have seen small groups dine in. BYOB establishment which is cool. Good deals for lunch. Fresh ingredients. I worked at a Sicilian pizza restaurant as my first job and it’s just as good. Crisp crust and balances well with sauce. So many options to try. Pulled pork fries and garlic knots are amazing! Owners super nice and friendly! Go there!!!

Was looking to grab some pies on my way over to my brother’s and can’t stand the pizza in my ZIP code so after so collaborative searching my gf suggested this place(about mid-way between). I have to say I mirror my gf’s sentiments that I’d probably drive from Kensington to Cromwell for future orders and risk a less-than-piping-hot pizza in exchange for a tasty pizza. Not bad at all. Super service when I picked up the pizza(K/B staff checked every box to make sure they were exactly as I ordered). Picked up a lg Cheese for my nephews(if you can’t get a plain cheese right you should hit the lights and get a new day-job). Cheese was a-OK. Put in for a DIY ‘Hawaiian’(bacon, ham, pineapple) — no complaints there either. Picked up a pepperoni and mushroom — awesome flavor in both toppings, great quality. I took the road less traveled and had to see what«The Greek» was all about. As stated on the menu — imagine a gyro turned inside out and across a pizza. I liked this new(to me) take on a white pie. Barrel olives were a bit hyper-marinated(brined? pickled? Not sure what you do to olives) and a little rough on the ol taste buds on a reheat @ work the next day but definitely not a bad pizza to try for something new.

Wow! Very pleased with my lunch here. I tried a slice of cheese and a slice that had spinach, sausage, potatoes with red sauce and cheese. Both were excellent NY style with a nice crunchy crust. I had high hopes from the reviews and the were exceeded. I can’t wait to return and try the garlic knots that I forgot to order. Shame on me. Warm, cozy feeling in this very clean establishment. The staff are very friendly as well. Try this place, it’s dynamite!

i have been to most of the pizzerias within 20 miles of here and this is definitely one of the better options. reasonable lunch specials. decent pies. only one non-meat pie to choose slices from was a bit of a bummer for me(a non meat eater). slightly out of the way for me, but will definitely be back. pizza is not too thick, nice cheese and sauce, properly cooked. (yah it is Barb from all those other pizzerias.)

The reviews are not inflated… this is seriously good pizza. On par with Harry’s Bishop’s Corner, Randy’s Wooster Street, and other big names in the Central Connecticut pizza realm. Garlic knots, ordinarily nothing to write home about, but when they’re glazed in olive oil and drizzled with alfredo sauce and served with fresh marinara… holy heck is it a different experience. And the pesto artichoke pizza… sono buoni. We got a large, and let’s just say my wife and I have days worth of leftovers. Delicious leftovers, of course. Their specialty pizza list is unique and tempting. Also, three cheers for the relocation and renovation. USB ports to charge your phone, free WiFi, an extremely clean dining room, and TVs with remotes on the wall that YOU can use! Talk about a customer friendly experience. Ken is really nice. Barb does not exist. Just… ask him.

Stopped in on a Sunday night for some pizza and wings. Ordered buffalo chicken pizza, wings, and garlic knots. Everything was amazing, you can tell the sauce is homemade. Wings were perfect, nice flavor and not covered in a bunch of breading. Garlic knots… OMG they were good. Best part Sunday night football and BYOB. Prices were right and all the staff were nice and friendly. Charging station for your cell phone nice little touch. Will definitely be back.

I called in my order. It was ready in the time told on the phone. Customer service was good and personal. I was asked where I live and given suggestions on dog parks and walking trails… I also noticed there was wi-fi, flatscreens, charging stations, and wine glasses for those who wish to bring their own wine. I ordered the artichoke pesto pizza. It was delicious! I ate the WHOLE thing. It was nice and thin. I will return.

Oh my YUM! Just picked up my to go order of a slice of Margherita pie and the eggplant — just devoured the margherita. I LOVE it — Unilocal’s ordering service worked great, everything was ready within 15 minutes. Lady at the register was very pleasant. I can’t wait to eat my other slice. So… looks like I have a new pizza spot in Cromwell :-D

We took the kids for dinner and couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff(special shoutout to Barry) couldn’t have been friendlier. From the delicious garlic knots to the unbelievable roasted chicken parmesan, it was a GREAT meal at a reasonable price. In addition to the great food, it was a nice touch that there are several large flat screens so the kids were able to watch their cartoons while we wAtched college football. It’s also BYOB which I’m a big fan of. If you want fantastic food and a family friendly restaurant with great service, you can’t miss!

We visited Ken and Barbs Pizza with our small family of 3. The staff was very friendly and welcomimg. We tried a few things including the staple famous items such as: the garlic«naughty» knots, meatballs, and of course the Pizza! It was all Delicious! The meatballs were amazing. The garlic Knots are drizzled with deliciousness. The pizza hot, crisp, tangy all the great things pizza should be! We loved our meal and will surely return.

I finally got to try the Buffalo chicken specialty pizza and it was outstanding. Which, for me, is saying a lot because typically I am not a proponent of chicken of any kind on a pizza. It had just the right balance of heat and blue cheese creaminess. The crust also held up very well. I definitely would get it again.
