I am not sure either why there are bad reviews, they get your delivery in a timely manner and the food is delicious. Would totally recommend it, and considering it’s the only option in this area we are lucky.

We have ordered here a lot because it was convenient and the food was pretty good. My last order was horrible. The chicken was really dry and over cooked and the beef was the same. I called and Eva said it was no problem they will give us a credit. I was happy with that till I tried to order again. When I called back she was upset. She said the boss was making her pay for our replacement and hung up on me!!! Never going there again.

I wouldn’t call it great nor very poor. More like forgettable. It was May 17th, and I ordered chicken lo mein and chose to dine in. They keep the place at 85* extremely humid inside and it’s full of flies. A quarter of the restaurant is used for supply storage. The staff sit under signs that say«no employee texting» while texting. The irony. One guy was siting at a booth near the TV texting and the other was texting while leaning against the counter. I don’t have problems with employees killing time if not much is happening, but I was just pointing it out after the owner went through effort to create a sign and has security monitoring. Back to the food. It was not flavorful, it tasted like a commercial based vinegar fish sauce. The chicken was poorly cut and the noodles were tagliatelle version. Wide noodles that didnt make any sense. Very sloppy interpretation.

This is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Their shrimp fried rice is one of the best fried rice ever. They even deliver, it’s pretty fast and their drivers are super nice.

The restaurant could be more inviting. The service could be better. The delivery is always pretty quick. The Chicken Lo Main never lets me down — so good! I always get it with a fried egg roll and egg drop soup.

Had my husband pick up egg drop soup for me on a Friday night(that is all) because of a weird craving(6 months pregnant at the time). That is all I ate that evening, nothing else since about 11am which was chick fil a. Didn’t feel right the next morning, just laid around and the family went about the events of the day without me. Kept getting sweaty then cold chills. Severe headache that wouldn’t go away with Tylenol. Ended up getting sick probably 13 times(TMI) between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Went to the ER knowing I was pregnant and likely dehydrated, thinking I had a reaction to a medication I was on. Doctors ruled that out. Thought I was getting the flu, test was negative. The sickness continues through Monday night, couldn’t even keep 2 crackers or Gatorade down. Had to go to my OB’s office for more IV fluids to get the baby’s heart rate back to normal and my electrolytes replenished. After reviewing all the symptoms, she chalked it up to a case of severe food poisoning. I didn’t know this before I ate the soup(I had never been inside the restaurant before), but my husband told me later that there were several crock pots sitting around and the place looked«sketchy.» I’m betting they just refrigerate the leftover soup at the end of the day and stick it back in the crock pot to warm the next day. With 2 degrees in nutrition science, I know that you cannot do this with eggs or egg based foods. They become toxic, not to mention all the bacteria they probably accumulated cooling and warming improperly. Never will I ever go back there again, despite craving for chicken fried rice. Not worth it!!! I really wanted to like this place since it was so close to home.

Should have listened to my neighbors. This place is horrible. Edamame is over cooked and mushy Ask for veg fried rice with no mushrooms and of course there’s mushrooms. Tables are filthy, and please don’t touch the salt shakers… they are the grimiest thing I’ve ever touched. I’ve probably got a disease now.

Placed an order for delivery, when it arrived it was wrong. Called to let them know and the gentleman who answered the phone argued that they didn’t make a mistake. Avoid this place at all costs

Not good at all and way over priced for portions. The employees are nice but seem rushed.

I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for Rice Pot. This is not a high-class, fine dining establishment, so it shouldn’t be held to those standards. It is a wonderful lunch/casual dinner restaurant. The staff is very friendly and quick. They deliver to the surrounding area. My favorite thing to order is the lunch portion of chicken fried rice with a spring roll. Super yummy.

Absolutely disgusting. Had what appeared to be a public hair cooked into our crab Rangoon. Called and asked for a refund and she asked me to drive back to the store. After driving there she gave me a $ 3.29 refund on my $ 31 order. Never again.

My husband and I order takeout from here all the time. Our favorites are General Tso’s chicken, Sesame chicken, and Hunan chicken. The portions are huge and come with steamed or fried rice. The spring rolls taste pretty good too. We have never had any problems with our orders and we always pick it up instead of getting it delivered.

So I gave this it another chance… Chance number 5! I’m over it!!! Never again… The last couple times only half of the order arrived. This time we got it all but the chicken teriyaki was more like dried out chicken jerky! It’s nasty and overpriced.

Tasteless. You would be better off grabbing frozen food from grocery store and microwaving it.

I read the reviews before visiting and they almost pushed me in another direction, but I’m very glad I stopped in! I can testify to what I ordered(Mongolian Kung Pao & Egg Drop soup), and they were great! Hot, even when I got home, and fresh tasting… The chicken wasn’t at all rubbery as previously described. I’m glad I swung by… Testament that you shouldn’t always trust reviews… People’s tastes can be as biased as their opinions. Thanks for the great meal!

My husband and I decided to give the Rice Pot a try and at the last minute I changed my mind and went to Dominos instead… luckily I did. The lo main my husband ordered not only looked nasty but it tasted horrible as well. My husband never wasted food and he needed up throwing the majority of it away. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this establishment again!

Give it at least one thing — very large portions. The food is really lackluster. I had the Mongolian Beef. It tasted like they just had a pile of steamed beef strips and just added the sauce and onions. Boy, were there a lot of onions. It just really lacked flavor. Nothing says«we don’t care» more than serving your inside customers on cheap styrofoam plates and plastic forks. It was really cheesy. Others have mentioned the space. Loud TV on the wall, a table in the corner that was used as an office desk, product stacked in another corner. It’s clear the management really doesn’t care. To top it off, the person taking the order acted like we were bugging her. If you don’t care, your food shows that you don’t care, the décor says you don’t care and then you act like you don’t care then I really don’t care to give you my business.

The food I received was hot as long as I stayed in the store, but when you take it home, it got cold fast and tasted rubbery, don’t leave the store

FRAUD! When you go to their online website, they have their menu posted for their 3 locations BUT the menu availability and prices vary by LOCATION, but you don’t know this until after you received a total for way more than what you expected to pay for it.!! I just ordered from the Cross Roads location and the price for the BBQ Chick Stick states 1 for $ 1.99BUT in this location it is 4 for $ 4.99. This is NOT what i ordered. I order one for $ 1.99 but this price isn’t for the crossroads location! WHAT. AREYOUSERIOUS! On top of that. I asked for a lunch size but was charged a DINNER size. So to sum it up. I was over charged for every dish order except one. and they don’t serve the Chicken Pan Thai at this location, even though its on the online menu The website doesn’t give a DISCLAIMER that prices and availability vary by location. This place and company is a sham and isn’t good anyway. I would drive to little elm before I ate here EVER again! They need to be reported for false advertisement! They better credit my money after they already charged me too much money back. or it’s on!
