Carvel Ice Cream

Be warned that the hours posted online are incorrect, at least for the winter. Having finished my final exams today, some friends and I decided to celebrate and I said I would bring an ice cream cake. I checked the hours and drove over. When I got there, music was blasting and there was an employee sweeping the floor, and the door was locked. I tried to get her attention for a minute and a half, but she did not see me or hear me knocking until the song was over. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the door. I explained to her that the hours online indicated that they were open until 10:00, and she said «those are the summer hours, we close at 9:00» in a very unfriendly manner. So I suppose that the fact that I actually arrived at 8:58 doesn’t mean anything? Maybe she was ignoring me on purpose till the clock read 9:00 so she could deny me service. I get it that she was probably tired and wanted to go home, but I wasn’t even asking to have something made. I just wanted to buy a cake. Super unpleasant experience.

You really can’t go wrong with Carvel. Too bad tonight they are out of soft serve nutella. They now have soft serve Reese’s the nutella was a temporary flavor. I really hope they bring back the nutella.
